Another series we need to win and the yankees are getting shut down and one hit by another clown pitcher.... go figure.... this team has real hitting problems.... we are facing a pitcher who is 7-9 with an era almost at 4.00.. wow!!

Re: tigers at yankees
joba gives up a homer... boy, this steam is struggling in a lot of areas.... rays won, so now we will be tied for first... just pitiful this team has been of late.. NO life at all ..and what do we do with joba, the guy can't hold the fort, he is not making good pitches, just struggling.. that homer he gaveuo made the game 3-0 instead of keeping it 2-0.. he really has been struggling of late.. not sure what it is...

double play jeter at it again.. this guy bounces into more DP's than any player I have ever seen. .. bottom of the 9th bases loaded.. one out and on a 3-2 pitch he grounds into a DP.. I saw that one comming.... this team stinks right now... from jeter on down.. they just stink... and this guy wants another huge deal? wow..

Scherzer is a very good young pitcher and there's a reason why he was a top-20 prospect back when he was in Arizona's system. It sucks watching the offense struggle the way it has, but getting shut down by Scherzer is nothing like getting shut down by bums like Bullington.

Re: tigers at yankees
Hey look, the Yanks are on the same pace as they were last season. I believe this year, they have only 1 loss more than the WS winning team last season. The difference is, Tampa is still on the Yanks' ass as opposed to Boston who was 5 back at this exact time last season.
I really like this Mosley kid. He has been every thing the Yanks have asked. VERY scary right now with Andy Pettitte. Yanks might not see him till mid September if we're lucky. That makes the Yanks completely dependent on AJ Burnett and Vasquez to carry them past Tampa. Are they capable? Yes. Comfortable? No.
BTW for all the criticisms of the bullpen:
Kerry Wood...wow, this guy has not been bad at all. I like him in the 6-7th inning role.
Joba is looking more like the Yanks Ramiro Mendoza.
If Marte and Aceves can come back and fill in, I really like how deep the pen is looking going into the playoffs. Cause let's face it, you will see long post season games.
Hopefully the Yanks can get past the Tigs today...

Glad we could finally give Hughes some offensive support. It seemed almost rigged that Granderson would show up during this series. Lol.

Nice to see Granderson starting to get it together. Hopefully he can keep this up and stay a bit more consistent from here on out.
