Do we need someone on the team that other players want to punch? Amundson is a thug. His role in PHX was to frustrate the opposing team's best bigs, trying to goad them into T's and ejections. I don't like him or his attitude.

I agree with PR07. The question now is: Is Hansbrough healthy enough to start?
If he is, then the addition of Amundson would definitely give us a good beefy frontcourt that can win boards. He would complement Hibbert because unlike Troy, he's better without the ball, he would allow HIbbert to operate offensively and give him someone who can fight for offensive rebounds. He may not have the offense but his defense and basketball IQ is darn impressive. I think Hansbrough and Amundson would actually make a good duo at the 4. To me he's like a more mobile, smaller Jeff Foster, and Larry love those kind of guys so i wouldn't be mad if we sign him.

If they feel like punching Amundson then i think it's their problem man, not the Pacers'. I can see that attitude as a good asset to have.

I think the guys a great scrapper. Agreed he wont give us too much more than offensive rebounds but if the price is right whats wrong with having him come off the bench for 10-15 mins a game and rack up a few extra second chance points? It would stop us from getting blown out late in third quarters which was one of our biggest downfalls last season

Are people for real on signing this guy. We worked this hard to be under the cap, and now we're going to take that HARD earn precious cap space (even if it is a little) and use it on LOUIS ADMUNDSON??? We haven't even signed Rolle? If anything we need to subtract a player or two. You've seen how valuable extra money can be when it comes to trades, and trades are exactly what we're trying to do now or come trade deadline. So with all that in mind i'm confused on why it would be a positive at this point to pick up a 28 year old career 4 ppg and 4 rpg player. When we don't need him and haven't secured our 2nd round pick that has more potential than this guy. I don't want to see a PF platoon that involves Louis Admundson.

BiggDawg, like it or not, but as of yesterday August 24th it seems like the Bird is still in the running to sign him.... via Micheal Falgoust - http://www.usatoday.com/sports/basketba ... rade_N.htm

Forward Lou Amundson, the odd man out in the Phoenix Suns' offseason shuffle, is expected to sign this week with the Golden State Warriors, New Orleans Hornets or Indiana Pacers. "We're getting close to doing something," said Mark Bartelstein, his agent. "I think we'll get something done with Louis this week."

I agree with you though, I wouldn't really want to sign this guy at all.
