Rather wait and see. Yao's last surgery was a preventative measure for his foot. Big Z had the same surgery and was able to play again without breaking it again. Anyways it is no guarantee the Memphis is going resign Gasol or match an offer. **** they don't even want to give Henry fair value.

i know time will tell but last couple of years show us that he cant stay healthy all season. what i am trying to say is Yao have what 5 season at max... i know he is the best C in this league and wish him only best, but i dont trust to his body, so in my opinion team must explore all options available.

Rockets only do that if Yao retires, no point in trading for a 1 year rental that might not even avg 25 mins a night

You guys should look into Gortat again. The Polish Hammer would be great in the Rockets lineup.

yeah it scary to get a center who never played 13mpg in a season and averages 4 points a game. and your getting him 4 years left for around $7mil a year.

but with the lack of centers in the league, they do tend to be overpaid. Im sure if given starter minutes, Gortat AT WORST would average about 10ppg/9rpg with solid post defense.

New Season, New Yao... It's everyone guess whether Rockets get a dominant Yao or soon to retire Yao. I, on my part, like to be optimistic. I sleep better.
