Doc Rivers still talking smack about the Lakers

Post#1 » by snaquille oatmeal » Tue Aug 24, 2010 3:47 am

Doc Rivers reminds us the Lakers have never really beat Boston

"They still have not beaten our starting five. Our starting five against the Lakers starting five has a ring. Tell him don't forget that. We will be back strong and Perk (Kendrick Perkins(notes)) will be there next year if there's a game seven."

the irony is that Boston hasn't beaten OUR starting five either.

has he forgotten that when they beat us in 2007-08 that we did not have Bynum? our STARTING C?

He barely had him this time and still beat them..... time to move on doc... you have bigger fish to fry before you even start dreaming about getting back to the finals

Yes, what ever makes them sleep at night. All I know is they lost and we have the rings and it is all in the books and what is done is done. We are champs and they are a year older. Plus they are not going to get pass the heat so the celts will not even be there any more. Good night now and see you in your dreams.

i'm not sure any boston fan is holding perkins' injury against us knowing full well that if they did, we had the bynum argument handy

WOW I hope someone points this out to Doc on national TV.

We were w/o Bynum and Ariza was hurt.
Thats 2/5 of our starting 2009 championship line up when they won.

Lose with dignity. Win w/ dignity.

BOSTON HASNT WON W/O A WHEELCHAIR INDECENT SINCE THE 80s. ITS THE 10s.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Nurse rivers is always complaining about something. Just give the lakers for being the better team and killing you on the glass. I really wish we have a rematch next year in the finals, but I have a feeling we will see those beach boys from Miami. Hopefully when we play the celtics at their home we blow them out

I thought Rasheed gave them more in that game 7 than Perkins did in any of the games, so this is a lame excuse, poor sport, whiner, pity party of a comment.

imo it just showa that he is still butt hurt about it. if we face them again this year i don't see it going past five games. we have a better bench, kobe and pau will be rested and healthy, and drew should be healthy. five games max imo.
Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

Celtic fan here, and FWIW, I disagree with Doc's statement.
