99.99% sure that they can't be dead, but since Riley/Rudy have been taken, you can probably go after Coaches that aren't coaching now (but not dead or about to be dead) coaches.

I'm not one to answer, but I'd think that it depends. If he's said that he'll NEVER come back, or is wayyy too old to come back, I'd doubt it.

I'm not one to answer, but I'd think that it depends. If he's said that he'll NEVER come back, or is wayyy too old to come back, I'd doubt it.

Same here.. but I feel the answer should be: at your own risk. Name who you want, but it doesn't mean anybody else has to take that coach as a plus. Naming someone who has been out of the league so long could definitely backfire.. the league has changed big time.

Hey newera, Rudy T? The guy had to retire from coaching due to his health.

I mean, I could have drafted Red Auerback but he's not coming back to life!

"Rudy drops in, sits with us for a little bit as a coaching staff and talks with us about our (strategy)," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. "We read his reports, we use them with our team. ... He really knows the game. Obviously being around it for 35 years, he's very familiar with all the nuances of the game and the changes that happen in the game, so I think he loves seeing it, seeing the personnel and seeing what people are doing. It's a role that has to be filled. And Rudy is a guy who enjoys the job."

1. Has to be alive.
2. (Recommended: not sipping his dinner through a straw and/or wearing adult diapers).

Otherwise, whomever you want. You can vote yourself as the head coach if you wanted to (unless you qualify for one or more of the above restrictions).
