Yep...It was either him or Anthony Parker for me.

its the 12th round, and I have a list of 15 bigmen atleast who are guaranteed to contribute more than Curry.

Well the thing you have to realize is this pick wasn't based on a 12 man rotation, doc rivers plays a select few and i felt picking this guy up was a gamble i could live with. I have a list of other big men as well, but this guy's potential compared to everyone else is better. Simple
Justdatdude wrote:I had to go with Reggie Evans. It was between two bigs and he won out. In the playoffs, you need tough big men. Big men that you know will battle downlow. Before Evans, my bigs were Gortat, Oden, Randolph, and Joe Smith. With Oden's injury history, you have to think about basketball without him. So if he did go down, Gortat would be starting. That would leave me with a backup big of Joe Smith, who isn't exactly a player that will battle downlow. Knowing that, I went with Reggie Evans. He is one of the best rebounders in basketball and he plays with a ton of energy. That is why I picked him over the other big man that I was thinking about picking. It doesn't hurt that he's an expiring contract. That means the cap space I have for the next season would still be in place. It was a win-win pick.
I have my eyes set on one player for the 13th pick and I have no clue who I can draft if that player isn't available.

12 still.
moocow007 wrote:Eddy Curry is actually not that bad a pick here. He's a big expiring so if you're looking for that component for a future trade then makes sense. And honestly, he's better than most of the remaining bigs. Curry was the 1st guy that I picked during the free for all free agency period in the last bat. Worth the gamble with a 12th round pick.

Its only worth it of he is going to play him, and if he does, then it wouldn't hurt the Salary Cap portion (Are we still judging that?) of the competition.
If you can whip him up into shape, he may be useful.

Not sure about whether we're judging that. Mags is the brains behind this. They just use me for the looks and the occasional public appearance.

The New York Knicks and The LA Clippers have agreed on a deal sending MIKE MILLER AND GREG MONROE to the Knicks in exchange for DAVID WEST AND AN UPCOMING PICK
Clippers GM knicksfan5494 went on to say...
"We feel this is a terrific trade for both sides, and am very proud to say that I was a part of such a deal. Monroe and Miller are excellent fits to the contending Knicks, while David West will be a key part of our drastically-changing roster.
Agreed. The exact Pick in this Deal the Knicks are dealing is 363.
We feel VERY excited about this Deal as it Rounds out our Roster VERY nicely and offers better fits for the Team to surround Lebron with. Miller will further boost our Teams Offense and his Size and Passing ability will further help facilitate things along, taking A TON of pressure off of Lebron.
We also get younger and cheaper in this Deal and look forward to Damion James and Greg Monroe to grow with Lebron for the next Decade. Greg is a VERY promising PF who dominated in College and impressed in SummerLeague. He's the perfect low-post Scorer, Passer, and the agility to match Okafur and the rest of our Team. He's a younger David West (or better), with a bright future infront of him.
Welcome to the Team guys!
