That trade may be completed but we now own 4 picks next draft, 1 from the Heat (2nd round), 1 from the Knicks (2nd round) and our own 2 picks. I can see this being the beginning of adding some youth slowly.

Good point! And yes I do Love Kobe (now) forgive me for saying this, but I was pissed when we traded Vlade for this kid. I just thought Vladi should retire a Laker I hated seeing him in a Kings uniform.

He did?

A lot of people forgot that Divac retired as a Laker. He played about a dozen or so games in his final year.

I chuckled a bit. Keep in mind two of those picks will be the 59th and 60th.

Olden Polynice for Scottie Pippen
Barkley for Hornacek
Gugliotta for Webber
Marbury for Kidd

These trades blow, not like some of the legendary ones but they are pretty one sided off the top on my head.

Do you like the on topic title that provides for misinterpretations and draws in views?

In my attempt to pump some pre-season life into the Lakers board I stumbled across this. I had no idea that Ebanks was part of the Grizzlies trade (the draft pick that is) and thus his signing marks the completion of the trade.

Depending on how Vasquez and Greene turn out as players, this could be a fairly even matched trade under the assumption that Marc matches some of his brothers numbers, the only unevenness coming in the immediacy of the Lakers domination as a result of the acquisition of Pau.

Thanks for the post G=K. I guess your an old schooler that has come back to your home. Welcome back, I've enjoyed many of your posts already, I appreciate your content as well. Thank you and stay a while.
