The trade? I think it's a terrific deal for the Knicks. Monroe is unproven but upside is better than West. Lebron should be able to cover up for whatever rookie mistakes and make Monroe better. And there's no discounting how being around Lebron makes other players see what it takes to win. Miller is a playmaker and a shooter...a perfect compliment to James. You just to find some bulk up front but that shouldn't be hard in free agency since big meaty bangers are available by the dozen.

Heat looking to deal. Will listen to anything reasonable...except old expensive players for our young cheap talented guys.

Don't ask me what I want...just make a legitimate offer. Whether a single trade or a package of players.

You threw a curveball lol. I would have gone with a different player with your pick, but nonetheless a solid pick. He's a little old though...he played well in summer league, but it's summer league. Interesting pick, but a solid one considering he would be a part of the future.

I'm hoping with him being older, it will allow him to be more NBA ready, and with Przybilla injured til January, I think him and Frye could split time at center for the time being.

knicksfan5494- I would say that you made a great value trade here. Moving Paul/Chandler and getting a suitable replacement at the one in Roddy, while also getting a major upgrade at the two and at the five is a very nice move. However, I hated the West trade for you. Moving Monroe for West considering age/upside and considering you really are not a win now team would have been something I thought twice about doing. Throwing in Miller for a pick in the 12th or 13th round made that a pretty bad trade for you IMO. So I would say 50/50 as far as those two moves go.

I am Ra, I actually have to agree with KLN, I don't really like that move for you at all. I know you got Paul and that is a major upgrade at the one, but I just feel that you hurt your depth and what made your team so dangerous. I don't really like moving Jrue to the two and unless you have a followup move moving Holliday for a real two, I would say that this move was not a great one for the Wolves.

I can see your points, but I really did want an established player rather than one who has never touched the court.

Took a big leap of faith with my coaching pick. Bob Knight.

Yeah that Knight pick was unexpected. As much as I would love to see him coach again, I find it very hard to imagine him coaching young, spoiled millionaire basketball players on a nightly basis. I don't see him coaching again in general, but in the NBA, I would say that that is a disaster waiting to happen.

Why not? He's mean, he's tough. He'll whip Kobe up so hard he'll cry. And most importantly, he's a winner.

Well he is 70 years old has never coached in the NBA and is a strict authoritarian. I just don't see him coaching Rudy Fernandez or Andrew Bynum. He would seriously try and choke them everyday at practice. I think he could still coach obviously and maybe coach somewhere like Team USA, but not the everyday grind of todays NBA and/or todays NBA athlete.

He coached the Olympics. And won. It's not like he didn't coach NBA players. And age doesn't mean too much as a coach tbh. You ain't gonna get dunked on by Phil Jackson on the bench.

But whatever, it's your opinion and I respect it.

I know he coached the Olympics that is why I said he maybe able to coach that kind of team. I give you a lot of respect for thinking outside of the box when it came to picking Knight. He is a great coach, one of the greatest of all time. And it is just one opinion so don't worry about what I think, I just feel that he would never be able to coach in todays NBA. But again it was a very gutsy pick.
