Matt Kinney, a Bangor, Maine, native and sixth-round pick of the Red Sox in the 1995 amateur draft, has been suspended for 50 games after testing positive for amphetamines. The 33-year-old Kinney is currently a member of San Francisco's Triple-A team, the Fresno Grizzlies, last pitching in the major leagues in 2005 for the Giants.
