That Trey Kerby guy is a wise man
“If this is his team, that means no more coming into camp fat/out of shape, no more blaming others for our team’s failure, my team doesn’t mean only when we win it means carrying the burden of defeat just as gracefully as you carry a championship trophy.”

So Miami Heat have the best shooting guard, best small forward and the top 4 power forward on their team. Kobe and the "best power forward" would love to punk'd those kids.

I still know that he's the best all-around player of his generation. Better than Duncan, better than Kobe, better than Shaq. In the era after Bird and before LeBron, nobody put it all together like K.G.

You never saw KG and Troy Hudson run us ragged in the playoffs for two years, did you (the only time that the T'wolves were really worth watching)? Would I go as far as to say he is the best all-around player of his generation... eh, but best all around big man? Most likely.

He did carry an absolutely terrible team into the Playoffs almost every if not every year though.

Carry them to the first round and then drop them off for 7 straight years, before Cassell and Spree bailed him out. I'm sorry, KG was a great player, but any team relying on him to be the number 1 option on offense was never going to win a championship. That's why he needed Pierce and Allen, and that's why KG is not the best all-around player of his generation.

He's at his best when he's not even the best player on his team.

Trey Kerby's old blog was The Blowtorch and he took over Ball Don't Lie (the Yahoo! NBA Blog) when J.E. Skeets got a higher paying job for The Basketball Jones. Kelly Dwyer is one of the contributing author to Ball Don't Lie.

I know that sounds stalkerish, but I read a post somewhere at sometime about it so that's why I know that. I also read Ball Don't Lie every day.

/EDIT - Just realized I titled it wrong - my bad.

He was way off with the KG over Kobe situation and but he earns my respect with the not so subtle jabs to troy murphy. LOL
