Expected production from DMC this year

Post#1 » by Sauce Boss » Thu Aug 26, 2010 7:03 pm

Was looking through your forum and didn't exactly see what I was looking for and that was what you guys think DMC will put up for stats this year? I have heard that he will probably come off the bench behind Dally to begin the season but could end up starting at some point. It be greatly appreciated so I can get a little insight on your situation for fbb and my 2k11 association once it comes out :D

I'd like Cousins to average around ten points, eleven rebounds a game.

10/11 guy would be fantastic.

It's so hard to tell since it's all so dependent on minutes. I'd guess on these ranges though:

Minutes: 20-28/game
Points: 10-14/game
Rebounds: 7-10/game
Assists: 1-2/game
Blocks: 1-1.5/game
Turnovers: 2.5-3.5/game

Big Cus should be high B- inside, C- outside, C- handles, C+ defense, B boards and 95 pot. Thats what I use.

Rofl, picked up on my 2k talk. I play pretty hardcore sim (HoF, 12min q's, custom sliders) for my associations and try and get the stats of players along the lines of what they should be. I am debating pretty hard between Sacto and Washington as my team to use this year so I wanted to figure out DMC's role and what along the lines of stats he should have so I came here to the horses mouth. It's pretty hard to pass up a Reke and DMC tandem as a building team, you'll be out of that stage in 2 seasons or less.

I see DMC getting around 17-20 mpg to start the season off and his minutes going up little by little as the season progresses. By the end of the year, i think that his averages will be approximately
25-27 mpg
10-12 ppg
8-10 rpg
2-3 apg
0.5-0.8 bpg
2-2.5 topg

14 points, 8 boards, 1 block is the minimum I'd be happy with for the top center in the draft. I also think that stat line is a reasonable expectation. Based on his summer league play, I can tell he's an assertive guy, so I think he can get the points. I actually wouldn't be surprised if he has the second most attempts behind Evans. Double-double rookies are very rare, and with Dalembert around, I don't think we should necessarily expect 10+ boards. I of course want him to exceed those numbers. He's not winning ROY with 14/8/1 and we need a repeat of that if we want to sniff the playoffs.

With the competition he has I expect somewhat of a Kevin Love rookie year 11 pts 9 rebs. Maybe a little more scoring but not much I guess it all depends on the amount of minutes he gets which i really have no clue

15 and 10, with a block, in 30 minutes, by season's end. I also think he'll impress with how many assists he's going to get. I think a triple double is possible.

In his prime, if he pans out, can easily be a 20+ and 10+ player. He has all the talent in the world to do that, especially in this era where there's few good big men. I think his main problems now are conditioning, and some of his decision making as he seems to force things a bit at times. Those can and will be taken care I think.

Honestly, I wouldn't be shocked to see him be a huge part of Westphals offense right from the get go. Depends though, I mean, he did the same thing with Tyreke but it really depends on how he's used. If Westphal lets the reigns go like he did with Tyreke I could see him putting up 17 and 9 with 2.5 to 3 apg. I don't know how the efficiency will look but the numbers would be there.
