Danny Ferry was a colossal failure, both as a bad NBA player and as an atrocious NBA general manager. He will forever be known in the annals of professional team sports as the first person in history to have destroyed the same sports franchise twice.

Ok, now it would be better if he provided some reasons as to how Ferry was an atrocious GM..

I wish Ferry never left. He proved to be a very good GM. It's unfortunate he's gone now because this is when the organization really needs someone like him.
much respect to the 2011-2012 champions, Miami Heat, well deserved

Too bad it's nothing Ferry's fault.

When you take risks thats success or failure is based on one thing(in this case it was Lebron re-signing), and that one thing doesn't happen, then you failed. If he kept a more open mind and made moves that made sense even if Lebron didn't re-sign, then he would still be around. Instead he made moves that were only good if that one thing happened. Since he didn't resign, most of Ferry's moves are listed as bad.

You continually want to give an opinion on the Cavs when you obviously know absolutely nothing about them. Ferry was actually fired or resigned had more to do with his reluctance to do things for LeBron than the opposite.
Personally I think it had everything to do with not wanting to fire Brown while LeBron's circle wanted him gone.

Then you would think that we would have more than one player who would be considered a good prospect and more cap room than we do.
BTW, I am not going to pretend that I know this for a fact, but I was under the impression Lebron wanted to keep Brown.

once again, you prove how little you know about the Cavs.

I wonder how the moves that Ferry made can be considered bad when the Cavs had the best record in the league for 2 consecutive seasons. And if you actually know a thing or two about the Cavs, LeBron was the one who wanted Shaq and Jamison.

Lebron wanted Amare. Jamison was his second choice. As a GM, he obliged and took on an old Jamison. GM should not cater to a player.

In the end, Phoenix decided to keep Amare. And Jamison was the much safer choice, seeing the Cavs needed a stretch 4, and the Amare and Shaq front court didn't work out too well in Phoenix. Not to mention, Stoudemire could have walked this off season and the Cavs would have had a huge gap to fill at PF.

Quite the opposite really. Ferry wanted Brown to stay, LeBron wanted Brown out.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

Alright, do you have any actual evidence of this?

Game 6 vs. the Celtics. Mike Brown screams at his team to call a timeout at the end of the game, LeBron declines, and moreso, simply looks away.
There have been rumors that security was called to the Cavs locker room prior to game 5. Some say it was an altercation between James and West, others claim it was between James and Mike Brown.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

I think it's funny that someone would go through the trouble of doing this, but I also think the person is wrong- Danny Ferry was a good GM.
