If you are patient enough *and* have the resources to outlast and survive market down turns, then you are bound to see profit. But most people just don't have the resources to invest a lot and still have enough to survive if, for example the GFC occurs.

Stock market? Dont get me started on the stock market. :lol:

Me and a couple of friends recently did the Australian Stock Exchange Sharemarket game (In Social Studies Class), in which each group is given 50 thousand dollars to invest in certain stocks.


After one week, we are 9500 out of 10000 in the Australia-wide ranking. Damn you Cochlear shares!!!
