Rush suspended 5 games

Post#1 » by Grang33r » Fri Aug 27, 2010 5:32 pm

per Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo sports-

WojYahooNBA

Indiana's Brandon Rush has been suspended five games without pay for violating NBA's drug policy.

First Stephenson has off court issues, and now Rush has failed a drug test for the 3rd time. Same old Pacers....

Rush just jacked up his chances of getting traded this season.

Seriously this stuff is getting old. We reached the high point of the offseason on the day we acquired Collison and Posey, now only two weeks later we have a guy who abuses females and a guy who abuses weed.

It's just really disappointing to think this was all behind us and the Pacers were cleaning up their image.

What an idiot. He should be working on improving his game instead of smokin weed.

I have a question though. I read that teams are unaware of the 1st two failed drug tests, but is the player unaware too? How dumb can you be to fail THREE drug tests?

At least this clears the wing rotation a little for the first five games...hopefull George will get to start. Ford, Stephenson, and Rush are now all on the trading block IMO.

 Now that Brandon got caught smokin, we need to trade him
This is getting stupid how people think we should just trade our players away again because they don't fit the description of what SOME of the fans want.

Personally I would hate if we traded Stevenson cuz I know he's a hooper and Rush has potential so I wouldnt wanna trade him either. I say he's on the trading block because of Bird's history with players who smoke weed. (Tinsley, Harrison, etc.) I dont think he'll be on the team much longer.

So you're justifying that an NBA player should be smoking weed. Fitness is one of the biggest parts of being an ATHLETE for a living and hence they shouldn't do it. Not to mention it's illegal.

There you go again with your ridiculous comments.

So its ok to break the law? I dont get you dude, you say its ok for a man to hit a woman(which is just plain wrong) and its ok to do drugs.

Who did you look up to growing up? Maybe Jordan or Magic? We all know it wasnt Bird cause you hate whites    But didnt any of them hit woman or do drugs? I dont think so

yes within reason... drinking before 21, speeding, and recreational smoking are all fine if done intelligently. however if it starts to effect your career like it is brandons its time to be mature and take your job more serious and not take any risk

Dude, what? Im 26 and don't do that but i would be lying to you if i said i was perfect and never experimented with that kind of stuff and other stuff. And i'm sure Rush has experience with much more then just weed from HS or college days, but, to say it's OK as long as it's done "intelligently"? Um, no it's not OK. This man is a professional basketball player. He makes millions of dollars. He's a role model to thousands of children. What he did was stupid, the FIRST TIME he got caught. This is his third time getting caught with weed.

If you're in the NBA, it's not intelligent to do weed. Period.

My friend got caught robbing a house and got 16 years. I don't think you get that much time for hitting anybody. It ain't as stupid as you think. I guess morally your better than everybody else.

Will Paul or Mike start at SG?

He joined way before me so keep thinking that. I could care less if none of you agree with me because none of you probably come from the same place as me.
