Jamison and Williams quitting vs Boston
Jamison:
Game 1-33.3% shooting for 7 points
Game 5-40% shooting for 9 points
Game 6-20% shooting for 5 points
Only averaging 1 apg for the entire series
Garnett's series averages
18.8 ppg 8 rpg 2.1 apg 1.3 TPG on 52% shooting
Williams:
Game 2-11.1% shooting for only 4 points.
Game 4-33.3% shooting with only 4 assists and 3 turnovers.
Game 5-37.5% shooting for just 9 points and only 5 assists.
Game 6-only 4 assists to 5 turnovers
Rondo's series averages
20.7 ppg 6.3 rpg 11.8 apg 3.6 TPG on 54% shooting
Where is the outrage? They seem to have quit just as bad if not worse than Lebron? Is the only reason for the discrepancy just because Lebron is not on our team anymore and they are? If so, I find it pretty lame that our fanbase is acting like this. I want these two clowns traded ASAP.

Re: Jamison and Williams quitting vs Boston
another LeBron apologist.
looking at stats don't tell the story. While neither of them played well, your argument is both weak and very transparent. I am however amused that it took you this long to come up with. Quick thinking there buddy.

LeBron had some decent stats here and there, but that doesn't mean he didn't quit.

Echoing what others have said here. Playing poorly does not equal quitting.

Re: Jamison and Williams quitting vs Boston
Another OP Lebron apologist trying to use stats as a crutch for Lebron quitting. Lebron is a great physical talent who had decent stats due to his isolation plays dominating the ball--- but he did little to inspire (leadership) his team mates needed. Lebron dominated the Pistons (a very good team) in the 2007 ECF to get the CAVs to the Finals with much less talent than he had the last two seasons when he won the MVPs and didn't play like one in the playoffs.

You guys are confusing my point. I used Lebron as a reason to bash these two. I did not use these two as a reason to defend Lebron.(Lebron can be defended in other ways, but this is not the place to bring it up)

Re: Jamison and Williams quitting vs Boston
No matter what your logic was, it was an incorrect premise to start with. And, the evidence is spurious at best. LeBrons lack of effort actually eliminated the shot opportunities for just about everyone else on the floor especially Jamison since there was never a play called for him.

You are using stats to defend your argument.. Playing poorly and quitting are two completely different things.

When Lebron wants to win, he whines and b****** to the refs. What I saw was him staring down at the ground and chewing his mouth guard and taking quick breathes. QUITTER!

Re: Jamison and Williams quitting vs Boston
lmao @ the OP.
This isn't hard. The entire offense was about LeBron. He initiated nearly every set. Mo rarely had plays run for him and Jamison literally never did. Being that their role was to wait for LeBron to make a play their lack of production is actually the result of LeBron quitting rather than anything the two of them did.

So Lebron quit because he didn't have big games and shooting percentages were down, but Mo and Jamison didn't?

LeBron quit trying, meaning his level of effort was lower than normal. Stats have no place in this argument.

If you doubt LeBron quit find a tape of the games and watch it.

Re: Jamison and Williams quitting vs Boston
In game 5, which is the only game that is really arguable that Lebron quit(while discounting statistics), Lebron used up far less possessions than usual, and yet these two players sucked. The ball hogging argument is pretty terrible.
Anyway, while I agree stats are not the only thing to look at while watching basketball, they are easily the best method of proving a point. If you feel a statistic is being applied incorrectly, then you should present a reason why. Just cause you say "don't look at statistics, watch the games instead" doesn't mean that what i said was incorrect. Do you really think that I didn't watch the games?
Anyway here are my views without looking at stats. Objectively, the only game that Lebron potentially quit was game 5. Any argument for game 4 and 6 is not based on watching the games, only looking at statistics since I saw no reason to think he quit in these games. And yes, I watched the games, so don't give me some BS like that.
I also saw Mo Williams quit in game 2 and Jaimison quit in game 6. And these are not statistic based conclusions, they are based on my observations on the game. And I seriously think people are ignoring this just because they are stil on their hometown team, while Lebron is not. I understand the fact that all the members of the Cavs organization accused Lebron of quitting, while saying nothing about these two players, but I don't.....
Actually, I don't think anyone on the team accused Lebron of quitting except Dan Gilbert, who did it after he left. This can be looked at in two ways. Either that the organization thinks none of them quit and just said that about Lebron because of an emotional meltdown, or that they think that all 3 of these payers but are saying nothing about Williams and Jamison cause they are still on the team.

Re: Jamison and Williams quitting vs Boston
Stats are not only "not the only thing" but the fact that you can use it to justify his play means that it's the last thing to look at. Watching the actually game and comparing it to others would actually make a million times more sense.
