Any time a quality pitcher gets roughed up, there's usually an injury involved. It could be a strain which the guy gets used to. In this case, we don't know if Doc felt stomach pains from his failing appendix. I'm actually glad to see he's injured because I'd rather we have that excuse than to think he just sucks.
