that's assuming that sterling has anything to do with the basketball side of things. as far as i can tell, he just signs the checks and there's no doubt in my mind that he'd be willing to fork over max money for a top-tier talent like anthony. it still remains to be seen how olshey and the rest of the evaluation staff handles the situation with denver and whether the clippers are realistically in the game. considering the clippers' post-trade roster, it's understandable that denver is a little hesitant to trade anthony to a team in the same conference.
but yeah, it's definitely a long shot. i still think that denver will work something out with anthony later on. he's too much of a talent to just give up on, especially when you consider his age and his mileage.
