Bynum when healthy which we saw when Pau was out in the beginning of the season was a beast, if we gave Andrew more touches and he stays healthy this year he's a walking 20/10/2 player

I saw the Lopez twins out here in the Pac 10, and they were good.. Now they are better. Top 3 might be a little high, but he is that good or will be. Bynum I would say is in the right place. Should be higher if he can stay healthy or could be lower if he keeps getting injured.

a healthy bynum is firmly in the #2 spot on that list and horford isn't even better than a gimpy bynum.

That is a "pretty bad" list... Where is Yao... How is Lee so far down the list... He is a double double every night... Worst list ever...

Howard and Bogut can legitimately be placed ahead of Bynum. Howard is considerably more productive on both ends of the floor, while Bogus is around equal on offense and better defensively.

After that it gets a little tougher to rank centers. I personally think Marc Gasol is a better center than Bynum because he's a more complete two-way player. He's definitely getting shafted by being ranked at #9. I would have put him 3rd.

Bynum has a legit case for #4 due to what he's been able to produce so far, but he still remains a big question mark because he can't seem to stay healthy. When he's been healthy, we've been the best defensive/rebounding team in the league so clearly he has a nice impact.

I don't know enough about Brook Lopez to properly rank him, but I have to think that after the season that the Nets just had his numbers are far greater than his actual impact. The Nets were the worst offensive team in the league, and one of the worst defensive teams.

Al Horford? I don't know. He's another guy that I don't follow regularly, but his numbers don't quite impress me that much either. The Hawks are generally considered pretty weak in the middle, so that tells me a little something about him right there.

So, I'd probably rank them as follows:

1) Dwight Howard
2) Andrew Bogut
3) Marc Gasol
4) Andrew Bynum
5) Joakim Noah
6) Chris Kaman
7) Al Jefferson
8) David Lee
9) Brook Lopez
10) Al Horford

A centers primary job is to play solid defense and score efficiently, so that weighs heavily into my rankings. If you can do both (and not be injury prone), you belong near the top of the list.

I'm not even going to consider Yao Ming until I can see him perform after being out an entire season. He's too much of a question mark. Great/smart offensive player and decent at protecting the basket, but what good is any of that if he can't be on the floor to actual impact a game?

maybe for Perkins case but he practically non existent on Offense and thats the exact opposite for Lee, while he does 20/10, I dont see him being an impact player at all, not the kind that gets double teamed or where opposing coaches have to make game plans to stop him. Horford might not put up crazy #'s like Lee but at least he plays both sides pretty well.

David Lee and Horford in my opinion are not true Centers. Meaning they can't really bang with the likes of Howard, Bynum and Yao. The same can be said For Noah, but his heart is so darn big and his ego won't allow him to fold to the bigger C's in the league!! I highly doubt Horford or D.lee play much if any center this year

If Yao is healthy he is the best center in the league bar none. Dwight isn't even close to the offensive player Yao is while Yao does a great job being the fulcrum of Houston's defense.

David Lee is a power forward. At least now that he's playing with a real center. He was always out of position in NY. I think Marc is underrated. It's amazing how many of these centers could be based on potential.
