Pretty sure this list is more of a projection for the coming season...not a ranking based of one's body of work.

That's why guys like Perkins are 31...

"If Perk were healthy to start the season - if we thought we'd see him at full strength at any time between now and the end of the 2010 calendar year - he'd be way up this list. As it stands, though we assume he's a dogged rehab freak, burly centers have the hardest time recovering from ACL tears. So while Perkins might be back by late December, it'll take a little while after that for him to round into shape. Thus, the low ranking."

That's also why he's putting Brook Lopez ahead of Bynum. In his 2nd year on a bad team, he sees Brook's impact being greater than Bynum's. Debateable but not ridiculous.

I agree that Chris Kaman is on the Top 5. He is a good player. I think he is the highest scoring center in the NBA in 09-10 season. I have not seen his defense very well... Good thing he became an All-Star. The bad thing is that he is with a bad team.

kaman scores a lot cause he gets a bunch if shots. he's not very efficient for a center.

i forgot about oden i think he deserves to be top ten if the mo'fo could just stick around for the whole season. i still remember him getting up to block little chris rocks shot, i was like "not again". The agony that run through his face i felt so bad for the 55 year old

Yao is a damn good center

My only complaint of him is that he is 7'6 and only gets 9rpg

A healthy Yao Ming is number one.

LOL at Perkins being #31. He runs the floor, mans the paint, and is terror on D.

1.Dwight
2.Yao
3.Bogut
4.Kamon
5. Noah
6.Bynum
7.Lopez

Bynum gotta stay consistent. Even when healthy he was not very consistent.
He puts up good number's but not at a level where he can be a top 3-4 center.

Having seen a fair amount of Clipper games, I'm not impressed with Kaman. He has a solid post game, but he's not a great defender, not very efficient, and has a high turnover rate. Him and Baron are supposed to be leaders and I've seen them quit far too many times. "He's on a bad team" doesn't absolve him, because his team continues to perform below expectations. He's part of the "on paper" talent that people overrate.

I hate to say this but Noah is more consistent than Bynum. If Bynum was more of a consistant player, he would easily be better than Noah.
