Add Semih Erden, just for the sake of adding.

Indeed, Boston did finally bring him over, we won't talk about how he looked in Summer League :)

Spain and Greece could play in the first round. Winner could have to take on Argentina. That is one tough road

Assuming they'll finish third,do they'll be in the same bracket of USA?

Both Spain and Greece (if finish 2nd) would be in the same bracket with USA. Matter of fact, Spain and Greece would play each other to start off knockout round.

Hard times for Spain.. They're gonna probably win against the minions of the group (Canada, Lebanon, New Z.) and finish 2nd/3rd. The next round will be interesting as they will match against group C 2nd/3rd... namely Russia or Greece. If they can handle it, the next one is either USA or Argentina in the last 8.

Spain's playing awfully :-?

I hope we have a resurrection like in the last Eurobasket. If not... :(

reason why spain is struggling is because they're missing calderon's leadership

I noticed that Spain wins when Rubio is playing well, against Lithuania he had 2 assists and horrible shooting, against France he had 3 assists, against NZE he had 11 assists and Spain won.

Whats wrong with you guys. Haven't you listened to Fran Fraschilla? Spain is just holding back. Once the tournament is over they will unleash an unholy display of basketball the likes of which (apparently) only Fran Fraschilla has seen. Watch out!!!

Spain had a difficult time in the group play of Eurobasket last year. They lost to Serbia, nearly lost to Great Britain, and barely beat Slovenia. And this happened with Pau Gasol on the team.

But when the knockout round started, they beat everyone by 15+ to win the gold. Spain playing like crap doesn't necessarily mean they're going to fail.

I think Spain is playing possum now after that France loss.
Kleiza is beasting like he was at Olympiacos.

As for my boys losing to Turkey, I'm not too worried. Turks needed that game a lot more than us to keep their fans happy. They'll fold like Poland at EuroBasket when it's all said and done.

Nope. We won the last Eurobasket winning all the last games by 20 without Calderon.

And I don't think it's because of Pau...

Ricky, Rudy, Navarro, Gasol, Felipe... they can do so much better than this.

Spain's lineup is a joke, a sad, sad one. Navarro is an undersized SG, Rudy is not a SF, not by a mile; Garbajosa plays 20 feet away from the basket and Marc is way too slow to cover all the paint by himself. The result is clear to see: they're being outrebounded by each and every team capable to field a couple of physical wings, and their defense is full of holes. It may take three quarters to figure out, but sooner or later every capable coach will exploit this nonsense.

It's made all the worse considering Scariolo added three true SFs to the roster, only to leave them rotting in the bench.
