Freeman breaks thumb

Post#1 » by craig01 » Sun Aug 22, 2010 4:01 pm

QB Josh Freeman fractured the tip of his thumb and will miss the rest of the exhibition season.

The Bucs should have signed a vet QB in the offseason, and now Freeman will likely not get any snaps until the first week of the regular season.

Literally......a bad break for the Bucs.

He should be fine by week one, fractured tip of his thumb, no ligament damage.

Should have done that in the spring. I was thinking Pennington or Bulger(I know he had the worst O Line during Rams tenure) . That's better than having no veteran qb mentor for Freeman.

I think this team wins 5 or 6 games. I also think Morris and his staff still need to be fired .

Morris at least deserves one more year. Don't you think?

You mean next year too? LOL

I think Morris's job is safe as long as the Bucs don't go 3-13.

If Tampa is 6-10, I'm bet he'll be back next year.

I don't really understand the Morris hate it is really hard to tell how well of a coach he is with the team that he had last year. I mean after he took over the defense the team didn't look half bad. This team is rebuilding, now if he has the same season he had last year or regresses then ya he deserves to get fired, but the criticism is not deserved yet.

I hope he does well, but I did think he was in over his head much of last year.

The Bucs "seem" a bit more stabilized so far this year.

Time will tell.
