Look at all the big white centers the bulls had during there runs, they always had a token big white guy on their team. none of them great all of them tough as nails though.

Kleiza is a keeper for us, but he's not going to solve any of our problems next season.

White perimeter defenders: Isn't Matt Barnes white? It's hard to tell through all the ink

Does Carlos Chuckfino count as 'white' even though he's Argentinian? He was an ok perimeter defender for us but stepped it up a notch last season with the Bucks. Their coach Scott Skiles was a defensive minded pg.

And if Delfino counts, then you're looking at Jason Kidd. But silly argument anyway.

its good to know that we have someone else who can score the ball. With Bosh gone, we know that Andrea will continue to improve, someone else has to keep up those 20+ points that Bosh puts up.

John Stockton was amazing, Manu Ginobili is a very good defender, Ilyasova is tough as nails and a good defender.

There are others, but those are the first three names that pop into my head, for whatever reason.

Andrei Kirilenko was 1st team all defense once and 2nd team twice.

Kirk Hinric is widley regarded as a top line defender.

Andrew Bogut is maybe the 2nd best defendive center in the NBA

Thunder Dan was pretty good.

While I liked the signing, let's not cheapen the word "star" because of Kleiza

It's just not the 20+ points, but someone who can put pressure on the defense by getting to the free-throw line which Kleiza has proven to do.
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

Kleiza has always been a decent player. I don't think tha tit is anything unexpected that he is playing well in the World games.

His upside is probably Wally Sczerbiak with slightly better defense. He won't be the star, but can be a decent 3rd scorer on our team.

I'm happy to see the guy doing well at the worlds but all this means absolutely nothing to me until I see what he can do in the NBA for a full season with consistent minutes.

Carlos Arroyo played extremely well during the 2004 Olympics for PR. But he is a perennial bench to role player in the NBA.

If Kleiza can continue to put up numbers like he is doing at the worlds in the NBA then that would be amazing. But for now he has 82 games to prove his worth.

please explain how Klieza is" another guy coming to t.o. thinking he has the go ahead to chuck away" or just accept that you constantly type **** out of your arse.

Too be honest anybody who uses the word arse, their opinion is void automatically ..

Grabs the O board, looks at the clock on the opposite side of the court when running out to the 3 point line, then suddenly turns around in a flash and drains a jimmy in someones eye for the win.

why are people comparing Klieza and Bargs. This thread is suppose shed light on the fact that the Klieza signing is a success.

Because now the discussion can be that a "scrub" (I don't think he's a scrub) such as Kleiza can wind up being better then Bargnani. Which may or may not be true I'm just glad that we have another guy that could wind up being quite good for our club.

the only thing i do not like is it kinda hinders sunny and dd's time together, with them together on the floor they're most comfortable and would give dd more confidence to play his game.

Apparently, the Raptors have 3 rising stars. This team should win 50 games next year.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.
