Post#1 » by Nando88 » Wed Sep 1, 2010 5:33 am

i'm not trying to make fun or offend anyone but, if you follow earl clark on twitter, is he just a little you know not all there or is he just not very mature and still living the "hood" life?

God I hated Taylor Griffen, but at least he had hustle. Earl Clark played bad last season and doesn't seem to be improving this of season.

Well he will have plenty of time to tweet, since he will most likely not see the floor other than from the bench.

People mature in different stages. Seems like yesterday I was a rabid Berkley liberal who talked pure nonsense

It's why he fell in the draft. He has as much natural talent as anyone in last years draft but on the court it's obvious he doesn't know how to use his talent.

Don't really care about how smart he is off the court as long as he isn't hurting himself or anyone else. Plenty of idiots are great ballers.

We'll need him for depth if Hill/Duds/JC/Turk goes down. That's how far i've jumped off the EC55 bandwagon.

Earl Clark's tweets don't surprise me. I have a source (former valley sportswriter / editor). When I asked him what he knew about Earl Clark when we drafted him, he told me he'd heard from HIS contacts at Louisville that Clark was "Straight up thug life."

I have to ask, when did that personality ever fit in with this team? Can you imagine, Nash, Hill, Bell, Frye, or Dudley spouting such nonsense? How about KT? Diaw?

From my experience, guys whio embrace such a mind set, and deliberately keep it even after being exposed to an honest to goodness college atmosphere, are generally selfish and unteachable. (Allen Iverson, Reuben Patterson come to mind). They think they know everything, and aren't interested in hearing anything they don't want to.

All this does is further diminish any hopes that Clark will improve.

Yeah some of the stuff is kind of out of context so it's even harder to understand.
