Hedo is the lesser of two evils at PF. Warrick's minutes should be limited to a bench role.

We don't have one. We're now strickly a jumpshooting team.

All great points except this one. Hedo is playing like garbage in the WBC. People say not to be worried, but those same people are touting how awesome Dragic's tripple double was. You can't have it both ways. In short, I'm worried about him. I'm inclined to give the team the benefit of the doubt, but that doesn't mean I can't be worried about the play of our new 10M/y starting forward.

I disagree, warrick would be great for us i na starting role imo..with the bench he'll be useless because he won't play with nash as much..
Steve Nash is the point guard jason kidd wishes he was.

If Warrick can replicate Amare's pick and roll play, I'm more than happy for him to start. But I know that is not going to happen.

We'll be surprised by Warrick finishing on the PnR now and then but he won't be able to do it consistently like Amare. Amare's rebounding also isn't absolutely terrible, it's more that he's very inconsistent. He'll give you a double digit rebound game once every 5 games but on average he'll grab about 7-9rpg. Warrick, on the other hand, is a terrible rebounder. His career TRB% is 11.7 with a career high of 12.3. Amare's career TRB% is 14.7 with a career high of 17.8. So while Amare can be a rebounding presence, Warrick will not be. So I'd much rather Hedo's offense than Warrick's occasional PnR if we're not going to get rebounding with either players anyway.

Its not just Warrick's P+R play I like, but I like how he is a great finisher around the rim. If we play Hedo as an un-traditional jump shooting PF, that probably means Lopez will be our only interior post player. Can he handle a job like that?

I think Lopez has the ability to play inside, but will float around the FT line. He displayed a decent 10-12 ft range with his J. I also think JRich and Hill will see more post up opportunities running off screens and mismatch switches. Really, offense is the least of our concerns.

Make no mistake about it, the strength of this team is its depth. Our success will depend upon our second unit's ability to win games for us. Gentry is stating we are a 10-11 man rotation. His job is easier using the hockey line substitution mentality. The second unit will know, they control their own playing time.

If all goes well, we wont have a player averaging over 32 mins per game. That may be unprecedented.

Right now, I am more curious than concerned... we are certainly in store for some entertaining BBall... and if the wheels fall off, we still have some flexibility for a midseason adjustment.
What ? Me Worry ?
