+1

the Lakers have arguably the most versatile roster this season, why mess is up?

some argue that Kobe is getting old, he may be in his last contract...

IT'S KOBE F*N BRYANT! THE ONLY TIME THIS BEAST'S VENOM WILL NOT BE LETHAL IS WHEN HE CHOOSES TO STOP PLAYING!

no. we have learned from past repeats and 3peats that the way to go is CHEMISTRY and COHESION. which means keeping the guys together, and with their experience, defeat opponents.

Is this under the condition that Melo signs an extension?

Take Barnes out of it and add an extension and I'd do it.

I agree, he is our hero in game 5 WCF against Phoenix and in Finals game 7.

It's not really a question if Lakers would do it, more if Nuggets would.

Mitch has always been that GM who has had 1 eye on the PRESENT and the other on the FUTURE.

With Melo it gives us not another player who can create his shot, but also still keeps us at a championship caliber level - at the same time gives us a franchise player after KB.

Not an advocate of the trade being done, but at the same time given Bynum's injury issues I wouldn't be opposed at all.
