It was only a matter of time before another team/player jumped on the idea. At least we have somebody to compete with? :-?

Last year several teams scouted Squad 6 to see what it was about and how we did our thing, I would be surprised if there weren't more imitators this upcoming season.

I honestly think it would be somewhat insulting if they asked a lot of the people from last year to try out again. ( I had to miss a significant amount of games because of personal issues, so I do not include myself in that 'insulted' group. I could easily understand if they wanted me to audition. )

We barely had 50-60 people at most games. Of those 50-60 there were probably 30-45 that were there pretty much every single game. How can those people not just be invited back when I'm not even sure we got to the full 100 people 10% of the time last year? That's kind of messed up.

They are free tickets and all, so there shouldn't be a lot of complaints about it. I just think it is somewhat disrespectful to the people who sacrificed a lot of their time to be at every game and a lot of the Bucks functions night in and night out without missing a game.

Anyone that made it to all the games should not have to audition again.

I can see your point, Luke. Nevertheless, the Bucks should have some recourse to not bring back people who simply didn’t fulfill their commitment to any degree. There were folks who came to the games and left early. There were folks who came and then sat in other sections. There were folks who came and didn’t cheer.

I suppose that they could just not allow those people back in, but then you get into a whole minefield of whether those people would say bad things about the Bucks or even take it further.

So, as far as the Bucks looking out for themselves, I get it. I understand your situation, Luke. But there are people from last year that I would not like to see back and I am hoping that this is just an effort to remove those people from Squad.

After all, like you said, it is free tickets. I just hope I don’t hear anyone like you, who I think adds value to the Squad, decides not to try out because of some indignity. Because, like I said, I don’t think it is being done to upset Squad members like you.

That's why I said:

:)

I just think guys like GAD, Steger, Jake, yourself, Chuck and some of the other guys that were at pretty much every game (or only missed a handful at most) should be let back in because of the horrid attendance last year. Squad 6 was a pretty cool idea and it's great they are giving away free tickets. It's very disappointing that we could only fill up 50-60 seats on most nights though.

I actually refuse to come back until Newbz admits Ted Thompson is garbage, and then successfully orders a three piece combo at Popeyes.

On a serious note, I don't think it'll be hard for Zakster to figure out who should be back for sure next year. I have total confidence in him.

Well, you guys know my opinion. 208 sucks and you won't have the same impact there than you did in 212 through no fault of your own.

I will admit Ted Thompson is AWESOME!!! :P

The Popeyes thing isn't going to happen though. I'm going to have to go to Popeye's with you and you will have to order my sweet, delicious chicken for me. :(

You said you went to Popeye's in Chicago and as I said before, in Chicago Brown's is full of win, much better than Popeye's imo.

Also second the TT being awesome :P

Sounds good to me. I wonder how many of the squad made it to 90% of the games.

I was thinking of going to the Bucks-Indiana game on Nov 5th before I heard about Section 55. Now I might have to go and get tickets near them just for some friendly competition.

Man I really hope I can be a part of Squad 6 again this year. I made it to all but a few games last year in the section driving from Madison for each game.

I have a new boss this year and haven't found the appropriate time to ask him if me getting off for every Bucks home game is feasible. Luckily my boss last year was more than accommodating when it came to me being at the games.

I am really looking forward to this upcoming season. Getting a chance to meet other Bucks fans in Squad 6 was a huge side benefit of being in the section.

Are you kidding? Wow. If you were a core member and attended essentially every game, you should not have to try out. But if someone did any of the above things or missed a ton of games, why should they accept those people back even if they DO have a good try out?

That's kind of mind boggling.

All of this is speculation, no need to get all worked up guys, all I said was I wasn't sure if people would have to try out again or if they would allow people from last year to return :P Sorry if it came off as anything else.

I don't even know for certain anymore, I'm no longer roommates with the people who worked for the Bucks anyways :P

That's messed up. People like that need to be banned from auditioning.

How ironic that they could be called the 05-08 Andrew Boguts of Squad 6 ;)
