A face-up center huh? So you'd rather have Gallinari over Dwight Howard huh?

Jeezus H. Krist do you dudes actually believe your nonsense?

I love that my post is so ROFL'able and nonsensical...yet you decide to put words in my mouth and are now comparing Brook Lopez to Dwight Howard. Where the hell did you get that from my post?

Careful, that's the kind of talk that'll get you suspended, or so I hear. The correct response to crazy over-hyping of knicks players is a respectful silence.

How did I get that from your post? Easy. It's obvious you value D'Antoni's run-n-chuck system and a player's fit in that system over actual, oh how do you say it...talent.

Dwight Howard doesn't fit the mold of your typical D'Antoni bigman, according to your logic. So going by that same logic, you'd prefer Gallinari over Howard the same way you'd prefer freakin Robin Lopez to Brook Lopez.

I mean seriously dude...you sound ridiculous.

It's not that I value MDA's system over actual talent, but he's the COACH. Why wouldn't you surround him with the players that best suit his style? You act as if Robin Lopez is Saer Sene compared to his brother Brook in terms of talent when you bring up Dwight Howard's name. They're not too far off in terms of overall impact on the game if you haven't noticed.

As to Dwight...he would be an excellent fit with D'Antoni so the point is moot. I don't see how you could bring him up in comparison with that of Brook, where he is much more like Robin when it comes to his style of play.

I didn't know apples and oranges could be compared.

Brook played on a down-tempo, half-court team, with little to no talent surrounding him and no point guard to get him easy buckets.

Robin played on a loaded, up-tempo team with the best passing point guard in the NBA. You're telling me if you reversed roles, Brook wouldn't have made the Suns a MUCH better team than what they were last season? Yea ok buddy.

If the Knicks FO really shares thinks the same way you do, enjoy watching a lamer, less talented version of the Suns for the next few years, until D'Antoni gets fired at least.

How are these guys even comparable??

In other comparisons:

Weird how you didn't understand that concept, considering that's what you did when you put words in my mouth originally. Just because you argue the adjusted pace of two teams, doesn't mean it's "comparing apples to oranges" considering that my statement was comparing their overall impact on the game.

Sure we can play the "what if" game and think about the scenario in which their respective roles were reversed, but the fact is that their respective skillsets are much better suited for the current teams in which they play for...which is the whole point of this discussion.

Talent over fit is one thing...but talent over talent that fits is another. Look at the current situation with the Knicks at the 2. They remain interested in Rudy Fernandez and are willing to give up Wilson Chandler in a package for him. Many could argue that Wilson is the better player overall (and I tend to agree), but I also feel that Rudy is the better fit for what we're looking to do. I guess I'm horribly wrong in this situation too? I should just shut my mouth before making more of a fool of myself?
