The pitches he made on 0-2 were tihs but it still doesn't change the fact that his road era is 1.5 lower and he has given up 3 hr's on the road compared to 18 at home.

The key word in ERA is Average...that is to say, the average of how a pitcher performs...has no bearing in terms of him pitching well or poorly on the road, throw those stats out the windown in a 5 game series.

A Rod comes back to the Lineup and we are about 2 take a L.. Is it me or does A Rod's presence affect our offense much?

I think it has more to do with the Captain batting second. GIDP, Strike Out, Weak pop out, etc etc etc etc etc.

Gardner got on base 2 times and has zero runs for the game. Why? Because Jeter stinks and cant do anything.

Tex came up time and time again. He failed once but had 3 walks. Jeter stinking is taking the bat out of Marks hands.

EVERY thing is amplified in a loss. The fact remains when you are down 5-1 by just the third inning. After eight straight wins, it's nothing to linger about...However, how much longer than the bullpen continue to log so many innings when the playoffs are in the horizon?

It's going to be a VERY tough playoff for the Yanks...

Gaudin and Mitre are going to eat a ton of innings the last couple of weeks. Neither are going to be on the playoff roster and who cares if their arm falls off by October 3rd. Yankees got lucky that the Rays and the Sox to a lesser extent both lost.

Jeter gets amplified because he has been beyond horrible this year and it's a contract year.

CC
Andy
Hughes
BJ/Nova is the playoff rotation.

I still see Girardi going with CC, AJ, and Pettitte in a 5 game set. Not saying it's the way to go...but I think he'll go Left, Right, Left...even though the lefties are better fit for Yankee stadium. then for the 7 game series, I see Hughes taking Game 4.
