If we buyout Curry and sign somebody like Damp I'd be OK with it. Post it on the T&T board so other people will see it. We might add a little more protection to that pick, top 5 or 7 maybe.

I think they would, they add pg depth, center depth, and a pick for Parker who will probly be gone after this season. I think NY says no.

Parker will be worth quite a lot at the deadline, and how exactly do they add PG depth by trading him for Ford?

Lol! So SAS goes from Tony Parker and George Hill at PG to Hill and TJ Ford? Thats lame! Sure, Pop could probably get TJ to play but I think this is a lousy trade

I'm a Pacers homer so I like the trade. We get rid of two expiring contracts but get one in return. Curry is a lug but he could provide some quality backup minutes to Hibbert and he expires after next season anyway. So I like it for Indy. Get a quality PF in Randolph and still have a good amount of expiring contracts to play with (Dunleavy, S. Jones, McRoberts, Curry.) Like somebody else said, I'd try to get that protection extended to maybe top 5 and maybe tack on a year to 2012 or 2013. Chances are we won't have quite turned the corner yet by the end of next year, so another upper-middle pick might do well for us.

New York gets Parker who I think could well wind up there anyway. I don't know if I see the Spurs getting on board with that. Ford is a solid backup and Popovich seems to be able to get anybody to play well. But I don't know how much they'd like getting an often-injured backup center in Foster who is on the brink of retirement age anyway.

But I definitely like it for Indy.

I don't like this trade, as a Pacer fan.

Anthony Randolph is good, but he's not mature enough. The Pacers shouldn't send away Jeff Foster since he is the only veteran in the paint and in his last year contract.

T.J. Ford is not qualified under JOB's system, but he has the ability to start. So there's no way that the Pacers give up a first round pick, a starting point guard, and a tough big man veteran in exchange for a player who hasn't show what he can do. Let alone getting a lazy player to spoil the chemistry.
