Harden yr 2?

Post#1 » by wiff » Tue Sep 7, 2010 12:48 am

So after a solid rookie campaign of 9.9ppg, 3.2rebs, 1.8dimes, 1theft and 0.2blks in 20 minutes, how do you think Harden's second season will play out?

I know the kid had limited minutes so he was never really in the rookie of the year race. And Ibaka was probably the best rookie on the Thunder last season but Harden made a large improvement on the defensive side of the ball and he showed he could be a very effective offenive player.

It almost seemed like the first part of the season he was looking to differ to his teammates a lot and he showed he has nice vision along with being able to deliver the pass. He also has sneaky hops, and he showed he has legit NBA 3pt range during the second half of the season.

Now I know Evans and Curry had great rookie seasons, but when it comes to fit I still think Harden fits better than either of those two in the back court along with Westbrook.

And by no means is Harden a finished product. So where do you see him this season defensively and what kind of numbers do you think he will put up offensively and how many minutes is he going to get?

I am hoping he gets 28 mins. I hope he puts up 14/4a/3r in those mins. the biggest thing I want to see is his FG% and Efg% go up

Harden has to start and play 30-34 minutes. Our team doesn't have enough offense to win consistently against great defensive teams without Harden playing a bigger role. He was more important to the team's success than Ibaka last year, to me. We lost Harden for a week and a half and our offense ground to a halt.

I agree with Clangus I'd like to see his shooting %'s go up. I'd like to see him be more patient, play with the starters more so he can play off the ball and spot up instead of create his own offense all the time. Maybe do a better job of creating for others when he does break down a defense.

If Harden isn't starting on opening night I'd consider that a disappointment.

good #'s.

I think 28 minutes and puts up something like 14p/4r/3a, on 45% shooting, and 37% 3p. Also think he will play great defense and make Thabo not as useful.

Just look at him... I don't think he takes basketball too seriously. I don't think we're ever gonna hear that he has good work ethic. The guy looks like he's a clown.. and basketball is just business for him.

He's gonna get fatter and fatter each season. He doesn't care. Prove me wrong, James.

We've heard about his work ethic all year (especially working to defend better) and he looked great in SL body wise.

Bare minimum I wanna see the first half of the years passing and the second half of the years defense and finishing

I'd like to see a bigger offensive role for him too and in that case an increase in all around stats

Please Brooks bench Green and start Harden

That is my one worry with him, and that's tough to admit to a Blazer fan.

I am hoping for 30min, 15-17pts, 4rebs, 4dimes. With "good" defense. Better shooting percentages all around.

It's would be fantastic if he slid into the #2 option this year and really produced. Mean while bumping Green to the bench.
