However, I think Beason has a disadvantage because he doesn't have Bart Scott playing with him. If I were building a team for the future ground up, I think Beason would get the slight edge over Harris.

Beason plays outside most of the time.

I saw 2 Panthers games last year and it looked like he was playing MLB? They also run a 4-3 so maybe it threw me off.

Beason played MLB the last two years but hes moving to weakside linebacker this year so Dan Connor can play MLB.

It's tough to compare the 4-3 Linebackers to 3-4 ILB since their responsibilities and assignments are different and they really are almost different positions.
Also look at a player like Vilma that racks up the tackles 5 yards past the line of scrimmage, or some other guys that just compile stats, while other guys must take on and shed blockers, etc.

I hope he's ready for Monday night. The Ravens all of a sudden are loaded at WR with Boldin, Mason, Stallworth and now Houhsmandzadeh.

Anyway, great signing by Tanny. Revis never had much leverage and has idiot agents (see Vincent Jackson).

O V E R R A T E D

Revis is easily the most over rated player in any sport.

I love the highlights they show on ESPN of his interceptions of under-thrown balls and fluke bounces that pop right into his hands (like the one against Carolina when it bounces off someone's foot)

The Jets created the Revis monster who lives on Revis Island and it ended up biting them in the ass. Pretty funny.
