Wow. Someone's done their homework. However, I do not think all of Boston's defensive stratagies/plays were credited entirely to Thibodeau. Doc Rivers obviously had a large say in it too.

I've had him and another coach (SS) in mind for a long time. I think assistant coaches are highly underrated and unappreciated in the NBA. They don't get nearly enough credit because they don't get much of the spotlight like the head coaches do. They do a lot more behind the scenes work than most know, like working with individual players, watching film and quite often, it's the lead assistants who draw up the crucial plays in-game. Rivers, being a HC, does have a large and final say in the strategies the Celtics use but a lot of credit should be given to Thibodeau for bringing in his defensive strategies.

The Celtics, before they got Ray Allen and KG, were a poor defensive team under Rivers. They were ranked 13th in the league in opponents FG% in 04-05 (River's 1st season with the C's), 19th in 05-06, 24th in 06-07 and 1st in 07-08, the same season KG, Ray Allen and Thibodeau came.

Well that sucks. Sent my picks to Miklo, but I guess he wasn't around either. Wanted to pick up Scott Skiles.

The Bucks select Paul Westhpal

Nice. It was between him and Thibodeau for the Thunder HC job. Since MVF gave Thunder Dan a chance, I thought, why not Thibodeau.

The Chicago Bulls Select - Jeff Van Gundy

Van Gundy's coaching expertise, which is defense, combined with my roster will make for one mean, disciplined team. Very excited to bring him off the TNT bench to the bench in Chicago. :D

With the 264th pick in the draft, the Atlanta hawks select...

Hakim Warrick.
This guy comes of the bench and immediately goes to work, he is long and athletic, and a good weak-side shot blocker. His mid-range jumper gives more room for the Hawks other bigs to go to work in the paint. Happy he fell so far.

Sorry Qwigglez, I pass. (Again) Keep them offers coming though!

EDIT: Counter offer

Oden, 264, 289

Jefferson, 344, 377

Hmmm, I didn't see this offer until after I made my pick.

Head coach Doug Collins!

Always liked him as a commentator. He's an experienced coach, with a great track record, and a likeable guy who gets along with his players. Glad to have him on board.

Nuggets select Hassan Whiteside.

An incredibly rough 7 footer with a nice offensive game. Could serve to develop some lower body strength and footwork, but he led the NCAA in shotblocking and has a knack for getting to the rim on the and-1s. These are the "upside" rounds gentlemen.

Man I really want a coach and assistant coach. Maybe we can incorporate an assistant coach at the end of the draft?
