My thoughts on our current roster.
So I thought I'd write up on the players on our roster.
Steve Nash -
Steve Nash next year is our star player, he can light up both the score/assit boards, and can even be a leader on and off the court, in my opinion Steve Nash is either going to be a franchise player, or finally start to decline, last year he took a smaller role, his minutes where decreased and Dragic was beasting. So basically, I'm just looking for more passing and less shooting, I'm predicting around... meh, I dunno, 15 PPG and 11 APG? I'd love him to pass this year, and I hope he does.
Richardson -
He's not old, nor is he a young rookie - but he's still very versatile, he's no defensive stopper but he's an okay defender, with an amazing offensive game - Great shooting, athletic as hell and can also can pass. With Amar'e gone, I see Jason getting more looks on offensive, which is why I predicted more assists for Nash, while I see Richardson going for either 19 PPG - 24 PPG. I'm intrigued.
Hill -
Well.. Grant Hill is still great, I hope he's still playing well this year, as he's developed a shooting stroke due to his past injuries, he's a good defender and a good shot blocker, with a high basketball IQ and a heart of gold, I see him SLIGHTLY decline this year, I'd say he'll average around.. bah, 10-14 PPG? I see that happening, but I also see him growing into his defensive side.
Hedo -
Hedo is going to shine like he did on the Magic, he's now in a run and gun offense that encourages him to shoot, and he's in Arizona, not Toronto which I think will put him in a good mood and a positive attitude all season, and I'm happy 'bout that. He's going to get around 18 PPG, and I'd be happy with that.
Rob Lopez -
Robin is going to shine this season, now that thee is no Amar'e he'll be getting moe touches for sure, and if he doesn't I'll be a bit displeased, I see him averaging around 15/8 this season, or maybe 12/8, which I'd be OKAY with.
Childress -
Athletic... good afro.. good shooter... good defender, god he's gonna be good for our team this season for sure, I think he'll be a stud off the bench, maybe even like Lamar Odom, I see around 8-12 PPG, and a defensive stopper.
Jared -
Good shooter, no, GREAT shooter, great defender, amazing hustle, heart passion & skill will be good on our team again this year, and I see him becoming even better, I'm not sure 'bout PPG though.
Thoughts?
Note: Only used key ingridents to our roster pie.

Re: My thoughts on our current roster.
Nice writeup. However, you forgot several key ingredients in Frye, Dragic and possibly Warrick.
Steve Nash -
1) He's already our leader on and off the court
2) I suspect more shooting, less passing with Amare gone and another ballhandler in Turkoglu here (Gentry hinted at this as well)
3) Minutes will decrease slightly in regular season due to Dragic, agreed, but he should be as efficient as ever
Jason Richardson -
1) You predicted more assists for Nash because J-Rich will look to score more since Amare has left? A lot of Nash's assists were to Amare, so even if J-Rich score more, Nash's assists should stay pretty much the same, or decrease slightly.
2) Agreed w/ J-Rich likely to shoulder more of the offensive load
Hill -
1) Agreed w/ all
Hedo -
1) Pretty much agree. I see him getting maybe 4-6 assists as well.
Lopez -
1) Agreed, i predict 12/7
Childress -
1) Does he shoot well? (i don't know)
2) Won't be Lamar-Odom esque as he won't get the minutes with J-Rich starting.
3) Don't think he'll be a defensive stopper. He'll play solid D though.
Dudley -
1) Agreed.
2) Minutes might decrease w/ Turk here

GAH I FORGOT DRAGIC AND FRYE? MOTHER---
Here we go..
Goran -
Well Dragic is going to get much more minutes off the bench this season.. and I think he'll get better steadily, I don't see him breaking totally out, but getting better this year. ((Assists/PPG shall see an increase)).
Warrick -
Athletic, I'm guessing since he's so athletic he COULD block shots? Then again, I dunno. If he's starting, then I'd see around 14 PPG, or if he's at his best/w Nash, I'll say 17 PPG. He's like Amar'e in a few ways and I'm interested in his growth and development.
Frye -
Three point percentage increasing, scoring increasing, rebounding increasing.

No Amare + Hedo handling the ball = Less assists for Nash.
Less Assists for Nash + Healthy Chris Paul/Deron Williams = No assists title for Steve.

'Eh...
I don't see Hedo passing much, especially with Nash's influence and reputation of passing.

They need to limit Nash's minutes. With Turkoglu handling and Dragic progressing look for Nash to get 30 minutes shooting alot more, which is good because he's an even better shooter than passer. Damn he might be the best shooter in league history.

The plan is for Hedo to handle a ball sometimes and make Nash a spot up shooter. That's what Gentry said. Add the fact that Nash's minutes will be decreasing and you have even less passes.

That's true, but that could be hogwash, I think he'll be feeding people to be honest, but we'll see.

Re: My thoughts on our current roster.
Nash's assists will definatly drop, but his scoring numbers will increase. Nash will be more of a spot up shooter this season, so I predict maybe 16-17 ppg for Nash

Hedo taking the ball outta Steve's hands? Hopefully that never happens.

Ok I'll bite; why trade one of the top 3 best 3-point shooters in the league?

It probably wont happen but I was just speculating because they gave Childress a long term deal, might decide to extend J-Rich, Clark could develop into a rotation player and they might decide to move Hedo back to his natural position at SF which could all play a role into that.

Re: My thoughts on our current roster.
I'm not saying that SUN didn't have a point, but he predicted our team to score like 130ppg.
That won't happen, for sure. I agree with all you giving your correction on Steve Nash's more shooting/less passing, but there is another thing I'm curious to follow in stats next season.
And that's Sideshow Bob as our main rebounder. During his tenure at Stanford, he played next to/behind his twin brother, who was even then dominant rebounder. Robin is probably slightly better on offensive boards than his brother, but he tries to block/alter every shot made down low and that's the reason, why he misses a lot of defensive boards - he causes them and isn't right back to grabbing them. He boxes his men out and gives teammates a chance to secure them. Though I don't think he's going to do it that much any more, while the second best rebounder next to him will be J-Rich/Grant most of the time. I don't have problem with his scoring, he's going to have his 12ppg of P'n'R and putbacks, but I'm curious to see whether or not he'll surpass, let's say, 14 rebounds per 48 minutes.
But that's only individual thing, I won't care that much as long as we are rebounding fairly well.

I am thinking that is what will happen after this year. Hedo is our Power Forward for this year, and our Small Forward of the future. After this season there's a lot of holes at SF, GHill could possibly retire, Dudley will be a RFA. I think Clark is more expendable, but Dudley obviously has more trade value. Between the two, Duds gets the nod, hands down, but he may be on his way out if the right deal for a solid PF comes along.
