given enough touches 20ppg i can see, on decent efficiency...

but 12 rpg?? no way being an undersized PF that he is, he's not a natural rebounder by any reports...

regarding Caracter's weight, i was looking at his profile and i found out that he weighed 265lbs in March (http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/derrick-caracter-233/) and from RealGM he now weighs at 275lbs. the dude has a problem with maintaining his weight! i found this article to be interesting with regards to this issue:

Like Ebanks, former Louisville and Texas-El Paso star Derrick Caracter has a chance to make an immediate impact for the Lakers, but his resume comes attached with many more questions.

The only consistent part of Caracter's nature seems to be the inability to control his weight, because even though few people question his talent, Caracter's drive and commitment are another issue.

The 6'9" Caracter was once compared to Charles Barkley by Rick Pitino while he was at Louisville, but Pitino also said Caracter was a huge thorn in his side by the time he transferred to UTEP.

Caracter's brief career has been dogged by questions about his weight, character, and integrity, and this was something which began when he attended three different high schools as a prep player.

Authority figures have always been a problem for Caracter, and his attitude has been discussed as much as his wide frame and his ability to gobble up rebounds in the paint.

Lakers' management has done a good job in scouting their prospect's background and i believe they expect a lot from this kid. hopefully he passes test no. 1: weight loss. less weight can lead to added mobility and that is where he can take his game to another level.

for those who are not familiar with his game, this may help:

STRENGTHS:
- Excellent skill-level
- Ability to create own shot
- Ability to create w/either hand
- Back to basket scoring
- Excellent hands
- Excellent Touch
- Finesse
- Nimble footwork
- Work ethic
- Coordination
- Fluidity
- Frail frame
- Incredibly quick
- Strength

WEAKNESSES:
- Ability to face the basket
- All-around defense
- Foul prone
- Body language
- Doesn't always play hard
- Lacks discipline
- Likelihood of reaching potential
- Off-court red flags?
- Winning mentality
- Passing skills
- Conditioning
- Size for position
- Undersized
- Free throw shooting
