Lots of good games to kick off the season, obviously we will all be watching Saints vs Vikings Thursday.

I'd be nervous as hell if I was a Vikings fan and if I was Brett Favre, only a couple weeks of camp for Favre and 1 half of preseason action and right off the bat he has to go back up against a very good and what you know will be a hyped up Saints defense in the dome.

Hell I'd hate for Rodgers or any QB to have to open in the season there.

Real excited for Thursday's game. Bengals/Patriots and Ravens/Jets are about the only other good games.

Cowboys@Redskins on Sunday night should be pretty good, you got the rivalry factor and Mcnabb's Redskin debut in prime time.

But the main games match up wise are deff Vikings@Saints and Ravens@Jets,those 2 could be a toss up for game of the week.

It might ruin my weekend if Favre comes out, dismantles the Saints and the Vikings win.

It would definitely ruin mine, especially since I'll be watching the game in Minnesota with wifey and the in laws.

Yeah that was a fun weekend thanks to the outcome and how it happened.

I'd look back at it as most here would as a nightmare had the Vikings won.

I remember going to fanfare that Friday to get a Saints T-shirt for the game and they were sold out, that was kinda awesome even though I didn't get one. Then that Saturday my cousin dragged me to the strip club, I ended up spending most of the time I was there talking to the bartender about the game and football in general, this chick was hot and actually knew football.Which raises a question, why is it that every time you go to a strip club the hottest chick in there is always the bar tender.

That's gonna suck for you Luke if the Vikes play well and win,are they Vikings fans? or Favre jockers?

I will say that if I had to choose,I'd rather watch the game with actual die hard Vikings fans than with Favre jockers.

As much as I hate the Vikings and can't stand their fans they aren't nearly as annoying as the Favre jockers.

My wife actually doesn't give a damn about football, I've pretty much converted her to a casual Packer fan (she'll maybe watch 6-7 quarters all year), her parents/siblings are Vikings fans. They are from Rochester, MN, so no fairweather or Favre jocking going on.

Absolutely. I even kind of like watching games with fans of the opposing team. During the Cardinals/Packers playoff game last year I was at school out in Spokane. I went to the Packer bar downtown with some friends, one of which was a Packers fan and 3 of which were Cardinals fans. It was one of the funnest games I've ever watched, even though we lost. The fun of the back and fourth scoring was multiplied because I was watching with both Packers and Cardinals fans. As long as the other team's fans are respectful, it is a pretty good time to watch a game with the enemy.

Well that ain't so bad Luke.

Another great thing I remember about that NFC title game other than the game itself was the Videos of crying Vikings fans that popped up on youtube after the game.

I remember one in particular was a kid crying after the game and his parents or whoever was filming the video was laughing at him and rubbing it in haha.

Yea, I'm gonna be hosting the Packer/Viking game parties this year and the count will probably be 50/50 split. I did it last year for a game and even though the result sucked it was still an awesome time.

Tomorrow night cannot get here fast enough. I have a feeling the Vikings won't know what the hell hit them very shortly after kickoff.

I just moved to Minneapolis guys. It's **** hell.

I was one of the guys that wished Favre's bull was true this year because I don't even care about the small chance of Favre snapping his leg in half and the joy that would bring, I would give that up any day over the fear that the Queens win it with Brent and I live here.

Some guys I work with and myself were out bowling tonight and they apparently on a whim drove to NOLA to watch the NFC Championship game last year and tonight decided to start looking at plane tickets online on our phones. If it was cheap enough, one of the guys was going to sponsor half the trips of the other 2.

Sidenote: I'm 75% sure I saw Chilly driving in a white Beemer convertible today. I work about a mile away from their practice facility. I assume they would have already been in NOLA by 5 PM this evening, though.
