New York Knicks select Nikola Pekovic

Image

Strong as a bull. No matter if NBA or Europe, nobody is pushing Pekovic around. Makes use of his strength to gain deep position inside. The key to his lowpost efficiency basically, as he does not possess a whole lot of moves, but they’re all effective when close to the basket. Baby hook with his right hand is his biggest weapon. Likes to spin over his right shoulder for the layup as a counter move. Does possess a solid midrange jumpshot from free throw line distance, but it is hardly utilised at Panathinaikos. Learns to play the pick and roll under Obradovic. Very efficient here, as he catches passes surprisignly well and can finish despite the contact. Defensively, shows surprising ability to defend smaller and quicker players when isolated after the defensive switch.

Rockets have sent me their pick and they're pleased to introduce..

Image

Fran Vazquez!

Selected 11th overall in the 2005 NBA Draft by the Orlando Magic, Vasquez opted to play overseas instead of next to Dwight Howard. Today he joins the Rockets and will be able to contribute right away. He has grown as a player in Europe over the last couple years and emerged as a great shot blocker and rebounder, as well as one of the best finishers out of all big men in the Euro leagues.

296. Blazers are up

Timberwolves, Bobcats and Cavs each have 1 skipped pick

Then:
297. Hornets
298. Nets
299. Wizards
300. Celtics

Round 11
301. Celtics

The Blazers are disappointed they did not receive an offer from the Pacers.

With that said, they will select:

CJ Watson!

Blazers are pleased to add such a steady point guard to their bench who can keep up the pace with Paul on the bench and also score when needed. They are content with his new contract and feel his youth fits in with the team going forward, and hope he is a part of the franchise for years to come.

The Blazers will continuously shop Tyrus Thomas and Wesley Matthews to try and get under the salary cap limit. They are willing to trade their 13th round pick (for anyone that's interested in picking a player that they believe will be off the table before the draft ends, and has cap space to spare).

Sorry SD didn't see that previous post by you

I just don't think I can make something work for Paul that isn't either a lowball, or adding to your payroll

Ideally I'd end up with Bargs and Paul and #13 for Melo, Harris + someone else (not Randolph)

Wouldn't be interested in that, especially if I'm giving up an upcoming pick and Bargs along with Paul to get a disgruntled, expiring Melo and an injury prone Harris. I'd look at 13th/Paul/Thomas for Harris/Melo/whoever you don't want (Wallace?)

Yah we'll see how it goes, that's why I want to keep Bargs. If I can work something out with the current team that owns the rights to Ryan Andersen, I'll definitely contact you! :)

The Hornets select...

Image

EARL WATSON

We had a void to fill in our back-up point guard spot, and those seem to be a hot commodity lately so we wanted to address that situation before another team took him. Earl was able to bypass Ford and Tinsley last year for the starting PG and was able to do well in that spot. He is an experienced point guard and a superb defender who will be able to take care of the ball and we know he will be a hard worker on our team. He has great speed like Felton, and we believe he will be able to more than fulfill the duties as back-up PG.

with #282 pick the Bobcats select Dahntay Jones

Image

Jones is a tremendous athlete who plays great defense. His energy and toughness is exactly what my team is looking for. Plus this guy can really drive to the basket and dunk
