That's just terrible, now Casspi has more reason to want to leave

Possible, but not likely. What are the chances of a swastika being drawn over a mural of the only Israeli in the NBA?

Adding to that, on the Jewish New Year as well, yeah it was a hate crime.

This is unquestionably a hate crime, and I am glad that the area Law Enforcement is treating it as such and taking the appropriate steps.

However.
I will have to temper what I say here because unfortunately you have the power to control what actually shows to others and twist things to control my access to the site. To put it bluntly, you have little to no idea what you are speaking about no matter how educated or intelligent you are. To truly understand the meaning of this kind of action, you have to have grown up as a Jew. To have family, friends, and loved ones that were really gassed and burned in ovens. To be involved in the local and national Jewish community and to know the facts about this situation which include that - especially locally - we have experienced a tremendous upswing in anti-semetic activity since Omri was drafted and in every city the Kings have traveled to. You have to know that an expert in foreign and domestic terrorism that once worked for Mossad and then the CIA and now consults for Homeland Security is coming locally to give a talk to the community about stepping up our vigilence and protecting ourselves against the "dumb kids" and the much nastier and more ruthless persons behind them who instigate these kind of actions.
I well understand that every minority in the world has had its issues, prejudice and persecution to deal with. But if you had to grow up with the knowledge that the people who supported that symbol anihilated SIX MILLION of your brethren merely because they existed, you might have a different opinion about a foolish prank and what it represents.
The "dumb punk kids" now doing 20 to life in Pelican who burned down my Temple a decade ago were just firebombing local Temples and Synagogues because somebody taught them that it was amusing to destroy the centers of worship and learning that belong to Jews because we are to be considered somehow LESS than human.
In summary, next time you want to get on a soapbox to blow something off as no big deal or minimize that actual impact of that action in the grand scheme of things, please take the time and consideration to put yourself in somebody elses' shoes for a mile.
Most of the world would just as soon I and everyone of my religious persuasion didn't exist.
