Bucks fan here showing you some love.

Post#1 » by Nycballa2k » Fri Sep 10, 2010 3:10 pm

I really like what the Pacers are doing. Now, I've never liked the Pacers, I've always disliked Reggie Miller, and the Brawl just took you guys to whole new levels of bad. But guess what? My team has been trash for 20 years, so it all comes with the territory.

But recently I find myself really liking the team. I think its the fact that I really like Danny Granger, and Darren Collison is a stud. I also see big things for Hibbert, and when he gets it together you guys will have one of the best cores in the NBA. Hopefully the team can stay healthy and I look forward to a long, prosperous division rivalry.

I like Bogut and Jennings. Can we borrow them for a season and we'll split the championship?

the brawl was bad, but still not so sure how it's the pacers who continually take the blame for it as opposed to the pistons and city of detroit who incited it.

I've been saying that sh*t for years. I guess it is about the market breakdowns, according to Richard Stern..... eh David Stern. Apparently Indy is one of the smaller markets in the league, despite the fact we have the 13th largest populated US city. It is no secret that Stern likes to pre-determine matchups, and he determined he'd slit our throats.

Next year he's got a real doosy in store for us, or so he thinks, the Miami/LA series has him creaming in his slacks.

It was just a combination of things, Artest is the main conduit of it all, and the fact that the team just "looked" thuggish, it was easy to pin it on them.

I was always high on Hibbert's prospects as an NBA player. I wanted the Bucks to draft him as a backup to Andrew Bogut. I hope he gets an opportunity to start for the Pacers this year.

How has Paul George looked this summer? Did he play in the summer league?

Thanks man! I actually described how the Pacers could get better, and used the Bucks as an example of getting better without a superstar player. Use smart mid-round picks, take on guys (like Salmons) that other teams want to dump, etc. Big respect for what Hammond has already done there.

Ehhhhh we don't actually have the 13th most populous city in the US. Sorry. Technically, by the measurement of "people within the legal city limits of the city" we are the 13th most populous. But that's not really how most people measure a city's size. See, in 1970, Indianapolis was a much smaller section of Marion County, until they combined the city and county into a huge city-county. By physical size, Indianapolis was suddenly one of the largest in the country. All the suburbs were now part of Indianapolis proper.

But cities are measured by the metropolitan area, not just by the technical city limits. Suburbs that are not technically part of the city are counted as part of the metrpolitan area or statistical area. For example, Dallas-Fort Worth or Minneapolis-Saint Paul. We don't split those up to measure the demographic area - for all intents and purposes, each is one population center.

Indianapolis is the 33rd largest population center in the USA:
