NCAA Week Two Thread

Marshall is handling West Virginia right now. Only a 11 gap differential in score, but the play on the field makes it look like 21.

Would love for Marshall to win this. Big East is looking bad so far this year.

Now I think Noel Devine is one hell of a runner. But Bill Stewart has to learn something there on that 3rd and 32.

Pass the ball. You're down 15 with limited time backed up in your own end. Loft the ball up and if it gets picked off at the 40 it isn't a whole lot worse than where you just punted that.

Eh, I guess it was splitting hairs there. WVU catches a break and gets it back with no damage done except 4 more minutes off the clock.

No matter who wins, there will be a lotta cousin-lovin and sister-lovin going on after this one.

When Marshall fumbled that I knew this one would be close. Classic underdog choke. Field goal would have put it away.

I wish I could watch this game, I'm stuck at work. It's just not the same on GameChannel :(

I didn't see the penalty call, but that was a great ending to regulation.

That FG attempt looked like it went right over the upright. Would that be good or no good?

Question: If a extra point is higher than the post does it have to be 100% on the inside of the posts or does only a portion of the ball.

Answer: NFHS & NCAA rules: The entire ball must pass to the inside of the INSIDE edge of the upright extended indefinitely above the top of the upright.
NFL: The entire ball must pass to the inside of the OUTSIDE edge of the upright extended indefinitely above the top of the upright.

Ha, I just realized that post is from a Computer-Aided Engineering page at UW. Good ol' CAE. Nice.
