Finally get to get off these crutches for a while. I get start walking on my own in my pool workout today. I'm hype! Its been 6weeks!

Six weeks after surgery to repair his hip, Jonny Flynn reported today on his Twitter account that he's off crutches and back walking for the first time in pool physical-therapy workouts.

Flynn called the workout "great."

"Felt good to be able to walk," he wrote.

Jonny Flynn(notes) – Flynn underwent hip surgery in late July and was expected to be out at least three months. He was off crutches as of August 31, but he’s still expected to miss training camp and the start of the season. Fantasy Outlook: Flynn struggled to adjust to Kurt Rambis’ system as a rookie, and the team signed Luke Ridnour(notes) and declared it an open competition even before he suffered his injury. If Ridnour begins the season with any kind of success, it seems unlikely that Rambis will remove the veteran from the starting five, so Flynn’s fantasy prospects appear fairly bleak. [Sept 9]

Recommendation: As things stand, Flynn could miss the first two months of the season. His absence will be a major loss for the T-Wolves, with Luke Ridnour expected to start at the point for the time being.

A couple interesting yahoo fantasy reports on Flynn. Once he's healthy, I don't see why he's not inserted into the lineup almost immediately. And 2 months?
