UTA reportedly forced him into the deal, to try to save money since they are over the luxury tax.
Steimsma's gone now. Do you think MIN wants to keep Koufos?

I'd give him a shot. He can be worse than Jawai or Hollins last season.

I think we'll keep him for a possible deadline deal. Koufus + Brewer? + Cap Space for Iguodala?

I think we keep Koufos until we can unload him in a bigger deal... Iggy or Melo anyone??
We have to do the impossible, but it is possible.

add one of the 1st rounders we got. I don't think that package will do it alone. It's also banking on the idea that Turner absolutely shines, but the 76ers still fail.

I agree he probably won't last past the deadline, but it's nice to have another 7 footer on the roster. He's younger than I thought. Only 21.

I don't see any reason to give him away for no reason, he's still young enough that we should be taking a serious look at him

Re: Do We Want Koufos?
Love-Darko-Pekovic-Tolliver-Koufos isn't a bad 5 man rotation...plus a few Beasley minutes here and there. Truthfully, if some of these guys pan out as we'd like to hope it could actually develop into one of the more under rated front lines in the league. Like someone already mentioned, it at least beats Hollins-Cardinal-Jawai-Pecherov. Koufos is worth giving a look, plus he can really only increase his trade value at this point. It has been so quiet around here (which is rare for Kahn's typical wheeling & dealing) I am starting to think both Koufos and Telfair will open the season with us in spite of the initial reports.
