if you watched football all day yesterday(please say yes, i don't want to feel pathetic) then you'd notice that a lot of teams were sloppy which is normal.

they can't do that crap next week because i have trouble seeing peyton manning starting the year 0-2

Is Michael Matthews available? last time I checked he is not on the Pats roster anymore. Travis Beckum is absolutely horrible when it comes to run blocking, If Boss is not ready for sunday's game bring in Bear Pascoe. The Giants can't live with Beatty as a TE.

The receiver drops thank god were against Carolina, let's all hope they learn from it and hope they learn how to catch the ball. Eli really got hurt from it because he put the ball right where it needed to be at times and those drops lead to INT's which hurted Eli's Fantasy Owners.

Dallas, O-Line was absolutely horrible, they were getting false starts and holding calls all game long and they were noticeable. Washington's offense did not score 1 TD, the only TD came off a bone headed 4 yrd pass that should have never been thrown which lead to a fumble TD. As for Philly, if Kevin Kolb stinks it up again against the Lions if he is healthy expect Michael Vick to run all over them, he did look good but also many defenses havn't played against a QB like Vick in quite some time.

I always have a soft side for Peyton Manning and the Colts, but after the Giants the next 4 games for the Colts are very winnable.

@ Denver
@ JAC
KC
@WAS

If the Giants can establish the run early and Indiana's run defense was just as bad as yesterday. The Giants will win this one.

no game is winnable since the giants aren't a top tier team, one game at a time.

also cut beckum some slack, he's not a tight end ... he's an h-back, asking him to block is dumb since he's 6'3" and 239

I wasn't expecting him to block but it would be nice to have a real TE block instead of forcing a OT to block like a TE.

Exactly. No 240 pounder is going to block a DE. Beckum should never have been put in the TE role. People expecting him to block need to readjust their expectations.

And Michael Mathews was cut by the Pats to whomever mentioned it.

They sure looked like a top tier team during most of the 2nd half. Plus, the rest of the NFC East looked baddddddd

They should bring him back. Michael Matthews was the blocking TE for the Giants during the superbowl year and also the following year when they had two 1,000 yard rushers.

Yea, I know, but he is well past his prime. There is a reason he currently doesn't have a team.

I watched every game that was showed on FOX and the sunday night game and yes Dallas and Washington looked a lot more sloppy. People may look at the boxscore and see Eli with 3 TD and 3 INT and thought "Well there goes Eli again." But in reality if the receivers didn't have so much butterfingers he woulda had a 300 yard passing game with no picks.

Yea, and he's on the practice squad. However, he was cut because his blocking was sub-par.

The offense was slow to get going but they picked it up late in the game, but the defense carried this one. The secondary played insane, guys were flying all over the place...you can tell they love playing with each other and feeding off each other. Thomas stood out to me. Phillips looked healthy and was out there laying out big hits, Rolle was in on a lot of tackles, etc. It all comes down to health, but the depth in the d-line and secondary will cause a lot of problems for opponents. The LB's still scare me though.

I'm pretty sure Beckum's going to replace Bushpenis in the not to distant future. Hedgecock used to be a great blocker but he's looked washed up throughout the preseason and wasn't very effective against Carolina. Given that we're becoming more of a passing team it also makes sense that we update some our positions and replace the pure blocking FB that we have used for a while now with a versatile receiving FB. It's not like we can't teach Beckum to block better, Pope is probably the best TE coach in the league at teaching TEs how to block, he turned Shockey into a dominant blocker after he came in raw and clueless and he has turned Boss into a very good blocker when he was quite god awful when he got here.

Why? We're only going to have two LBs on the field a lot this year and we've got some good options, Boley is the best linebacker we've had since Armstead and Goff was so much better than AP had been for us for the past couple of years in the middle. And at the third spot Sintim as our work in progress who's looked pretty decent in zones and pretty beastly as a pass rusher and run stuffer so far in his young career and in Bulluck we have the semi-washed up vet who's no longer physical capable of changing the game but who's intelligence helps key the other guys into what they should be doing and maybe we'll get lucky and he is able to one day make a full recovery and give us a beastly coverage duo for our Nickle.

Beckum is not a fullback. He is too tall and doesn't use enough leverage to lead block. He also isn't strong enough and is too injury prone.
