FFL 2010-11 - Locked

Post#1 » by bww78 » Mon Sep 13, 2010 4:43 pm

New thread as the old one has gone over 100+pages.

Rules

Teams: 20
Scoring Type: Head-to-Head
Max Moves: See below
Max Moves during the playoffs: Six per week
Max Trades: No maximum
Trade Reject Time: 1
Trade End Date: Approx. March 5, 2010
Waiver Time: 1 day
Can't Cut List Provider: Yahoo
Trade Review: Commissioner
Post Draft Players: Follow Waiver Rules
Max Acquisitions per Week: No maximum
Weekly Deadline: Daily - Tomorrow
Start Scoring on: Week 1
Roster Positions: PG, SG, G, G, SF, PF, F, F, C, C, BN, BN, BN
Stat Categories: FG%, FT%, 3PTM, PTS, REB, AST, ST, BLK, TO

Injured List
- The IL wait time is 3 straight games on your roster.
- Suspended players can also be sent to the IL after three games.
- We will "Self Police" the IL. Drop your player, then IMMEDIATELY update the IL Post on the league page with the player you are protecting. If you forget this step, YOUR PLAYER IS NOT PROTECTED. If your player is added while unprotected, you're out of luck. It may sound draconian, but the only fair way is zero tolerance.
- If you pick up a protected player at any point during the season, there will be consequences. I don't know what they are yet, but they will be nasty. Stay tuned.
- You may NOT drop a player to the waiver wire until the day AFTER that player has missed his third consecutive game on your active roster. The day after means 12:00 am PST.
- Only 2 players per team on the IL.
- If one of your IL players becomes active, your add/drops will be locked until you add that player (just send me a note), or drop him outright.
- Your player must miss 3 straight games, while on your active roster, to be eligible for the IL. This is true even if the player misses games as a coache's decision.

Max Moves
- Unlimited moves during the NBA pre-season
- A maximum of 60 moves total during the regular season (equates to 3 moves per week of the regular season)
- Six moves a week every week for the playoffs, as has been the case in past.

Rule Changes
- 8 teams will make the playoffs
- Playoffs will begin one week eariler than usual

if anybody is interested in Beno Udrih or Carl Landry, I'm open for trade offers. But they won't be traded away for nothing, I want to get either equal value or maybe upgrade them, not downgrade. The reason I want to do this is, they are from the same team. So it's not crucial for me to trade them, just like extra mustard on the hotdog, so don't lowball me =)

Hi guys. I'm back now from my 8 days on Kauai, where I was often away from net access for many hours at a time (plus the plane flights there and back). So I should be a little more responsive now.

Also, Reggie Williams is missing from my team above. He has SG eligibility so you can slot him in at G.

Yah, I saw that. Not sure why that one was locked. But since it is, it's this thread that I care about.

CJ Miles was another guy I was thinking of taking with my 12 round pick. I had no idea he was on any radars out there.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

I'm not sure if Yahoo! is done updating yet, but they have Charlie Villanueva listed as only PF. That makes my lineup closer to this:

PG - Deron Williams
SG - Kevin Martin
G - Jameer Nelson
G - Jonny Flynn
SF - Kelenna Azubuike
PF - Michael Beasley
F - Charlie Villanueva
F - Tyler Hansbrough
C - Kevin Love
C - Darko Milicic
B - Raja Bell
B - Erick Dampier
B -

Not that it matters, it just saves the formatting of giving me a hole at C and an extra bench spot.

Hopefully Beasley gets SF eligibility, otherwise I have one SF and he might not even be ready for the start of the season. :o

Man, you guys are all in love with your draft picks. I haven't gotten a single one of you to budge on a trade offer including players, rather than picks.

I've traded for Dirk and Zach Randolph. So, no troubles here trading for players. Maybe you are doing it wrong.

You're probably right. Except lately, all I've said is, "Hey, I'm interested in player x. Can we start a dialogue?"

Well, to be fair, the GM with Dirk came to me to open negotiations. And the one with Zach posted that he might be available.

So, I wasn't banging down doors.

The same thing might happen with Raja Bell, I'm considering offering 209 for him straight up. But, not sure I want to do that just yet. But, the point is, I'd be going after a player that was allready advertised.

Landry has been advertised 2x as being available. So, I think he could be had. Not sure I have any interest there though. But maybe Udirh might interest me. But, my guess is that he'd be far more expensive than I'd want to pay.

But, Bell, I'm thinking about him. Doesn't hurt at all being a Jazz player.

The guy I'm open to trading is Milsap. The thing is, though, that I have him penciled in for 15/10/1+stl/1+blk after Al or Memo (or both) go down with injuries. So I probably have to wait until that happens before I can get the value for him that I'm looking for.
