i haven't' been this excited about a starting pitcher making his debut for the Jays in a while.. It sucks how the Jays haven't been pumping out great SP's recently, and needed trades to get the talent (Drabek, Stewart..)

Hopefully Jenkins and McGuire are going to be great too

So who's brave enough to put up the broom and call the sweep?

it's gotta be a bigger broom than that, since we're trying to sweet the season series (6 more to go)

Have an issue with this statement. The Jays have actually been producing a ton of very good SPs recently (McGowan, Marcum, Romero, Cecil, Rzep, Litsch, etc). Unless you mean ace/#1 quality pitchers, but nobody produces those at a high rate anyway.

No way we sweep them. Rzep will be getting rocked tonight by the rejuvenated O's.

Fair enough.. but I was actually talking about the "ace" potential types, who was had the hype machine going. I was just thinking to myself when was the last time there was this much anticipation for a debut.. I'd have to go back to the Halladay/Carpenter/Escobar era..

The reason Drabek is so hyped is because he was involved in the Roy Halladay trade. Because, in my mind, he doesn't project to be better than several of the starting pitchers this team already has.

As I've said before, I hope people don't expect him to take the place of Doc. No one can do that.

I kinda wanna blame that on Hill, his sub par defence has really annoyed me this season.

Maybe I was just spoiled by watching Orlando Hudson before but even though that wasn't an easy play to get the ball to 2nd, he still could have. Instead the baserunner got to 2nd and scored the next play.

Hill has made a lot of bone headed plays this year and that was one of them.... The thing I don't get why tallet is still in the game? This is probably the 5th time cito has done this... tallet gives you 2 innings and bam you put him back in and he gives up a run.... tallet pitching more than 2 innings equals lost
