Looking back at the deals, I would rather have Lou coming off the bench at that price, then Warrick at twice the cost and years. The logic behind signing Warrick seems silly after the LB for Turk deal. The reason we went far in the playoffs was our bench hustle. It would have been the same bench but instead of LB, we would have JChill. I think JChill could handle the points lost by LB.

I understand that Lawal could be a Lou replacement, but if he can't get on the floor and Warrick is taking Lou's minutes, it seems like a moot idea.

1. Yeah, that Warrick signing as many of you mentioned, was a knee-jerk reaction to Amare saying no to the extension. Owner simply said in his head the next day - "Sign me any offensive-oriented PF with some athleticism in the market ASAP!!!"

2. Warrick signing came without any consideration to Lou since Suns primarily saw Lou as a defensive player and wanted an offensive guy after losing Amare.

3. Also, they had Lawal and Clark in mind when not bringing back Lou. They figured even if Lou was willing to sign cheap, they'd rather work Lawal/Clark as PF in rotation to develop them.

4. Lastly, they omitted all Lou talks because even if they handed Lou a 5 million 2 year offer, thought is that the Lou camp - at that time - would have easily rejected saying they can find something better.

Hmm, looking at his deal, the move for Warrick, we could have most likely made some room for him instead. Oh well, I'm happy that he has a place in the NBA still. He definitely deserves it.
