According to ESPN, he is out for the season. A blow to the jets. But wow, this poor guy. I would assume he is going to call it quits?

While he does play for the Jets, I still hate to see things like this happen to guys. That's a lot to comeback from. It's too bad cause he's an elite NT.

They also lost his primary backup back in the preseason, Pitouta.

Pretty big blow because he allowed the ILBs to not have to worry much about runs up the gut on draws and cutbacks. But they did fine without him last year.

The Ryan Grant injury for the Packers is worse. I'm not a big fan of his but he's miles better than Brandon Jackson.

So many early season injuries. I wonder if they would look at a trade for someone like Shaun Rogers.

I thought Pouha was the back up for him...

Pouha started and looked great.
Jets just re-signed Howard Green who was decent for them last year.
Losing Jenkins was a huge blow but we played really well without him for most of last year.

Pouha started at end but moved inside in this game. The guy who was the backup last year was Ropati Pitoitua, though now that I think about it he played more at end once Pouha slid inside.

Shaun Rogers is not going anywhere. Haynesworth most certainly won't be a Jet either. Grady Jackson is out there and (sort of) knows the defense.

Grady Jackson is one of the best blends of raw power and in line mobility I'd seen in a while, I wonder why he never seems to stick? I guess it's because he always gets lazy.

It's pretty sad that we can predict Bob Sanders and Kris Jenkins, two of the more talented defenders of the decade, always getting injured early, and severely.
