This is rediculous.

lakers (forgive me Lord)
nuggets
thunder
blazers
rockets
mavs
spurs

are all better.

haha so true... there just isn't a lot of playoff experience on that team and don't name Tony Allen because he was just a small piece of a playoff team and doesnt have the experience that can turn a very young and (yes, talented) in experienced team. I hope they can make something of it this year, they started off pretty solid last year and then seemed to fade in the second half.

Which Grizz team did you watch last year? The one I watched started the year 1-8.

Playoffs? Maybe. Top 5? Very unlikely.

With three possible All-Stars on this years team ( Rudy Gay, O.J. Mayo, and Zach Randolph). The Grizzlies look like a very solid pick to finish in the top 8 in the west. Mike Conley and Marc Gasol will round out the starting line up for the Grizzlies. Conley, and Gasol are entering their 3rd season as the starters for the Grizzlies and everybody is expecting a more discipline season for Conley or he could face being benched or traded. Marc Gasol is a very dependable big man, and will be heavily involved for the Grizzlies

Predictions for the 2010-2011 Season

51-31 4th seed in the West.

They would be insane if they had drafted Tyreke Evans instead. Evans/Mayo/Gay/Zack/Marc would be unbelievable. Oh well.

If any of the people disagreeing with this thread bumped it, they'd be called petty losers who are pathetic for remembering such a thread. Ex: 'LMAO you're so pathetic I was totally exaggerating OBVIOUSLY. You're so dumb for taking it literally, why are you bumping this thread holy **** you're such a loser, no life, lives in parents basement, nerd, etc"

If the Grizz are a top 5 team in the west in the 2010-2011 NBA season, I'll be happy to eat crow when you bump this topic if you're happy to eat crow when I bump this topic. Sound fair?

Too young to make an impact, have you seen O.J Mayo or Rudy Gay in the NBA playoffs? No. I see the Mayo-Kobe comparison physically, but being clutch in the playoffs is mental, and we don't know if Mayo or Rudy have that killer instinct.

What a perfect fit next to Mayo he would have been, didnt he play college ball in Memphis too? I guess they didnt expect Gasol to have that breakout season but what in the hell were they thinking?

Its the Grizzlies.

They need a true alpha dog superstar to compete, otherwise with the lack of leadership, they'll be a perennial 8th seed. I truly believe that with a real superstar and a couple years of experience they will rival the Thunder perhaps surpassing them. The Griz have a wealth of talent but they are mostly all great secondary options.

1.Lakers
2.Dallas
3.Jazz
4.OKC(My Pick to Upset one of the better teams in the playoffs)
5.Portland
6.Spurs
7.Nuggets(Could be higher if/when we know about Melo)

The Fight for 8th spot in order of the best team:
Phoenix
Memphis(if they can get it together for a longer stretch they can be as high as a 5th seed)
Houston
Clippers
(New Orleans is my sleeper for the eight spot)

I do believe they are going to make the playoffs in a somewhat slightly weaker west, but they are not top five in the west. They do have a potential all star trio, but the lakers, mavs, thunder, spurs, and jazz are better in my eyes

"I made a commitment to people that we would be in the playoffs in the third year," Heisley said, "and we're going to be in the playoffs."

http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/20 ... e-to-griz/

Owner guarentees playoffs. Heisley has never expected anything from this team before bold statement, in the 3rd year of the OJ Masyo era in Memphis.

OJ can be the alpha male IMO, but they're paying Rudy a lot to be the 2nd option
