Has there ever been a pairing like this in the NBA as explosive as this before?

Well the Bulls have Brewer for Wade, Deng for Lebron and Noah for Bosh.

JB, you should just root for your Rockets this year, they might actually have a shot against the Lakers if Yao is healthy.

Lots of zone, refs not calling three second violations, and the inevitable bad shooting nights (especially if it's a road game and somebody like Ben Gordon or JR Smith catches fire).

I can't wait to see us play the crunch-time Wade-Miller-James perimeter lineup, and watch as LA is forced to put Artest AND Barnes out there - both of whom are very streaky offensively, and one of whom never really "got" the triangle (not that it ultimately mattered) while the other will be new to it. Also, the combustion possibilities are endless.

My meaning wasn't clear, which I apologize for. I didn't intend to say that the defense will guide your wings directly into Dwight's body, but that they will force Wade/LeBron and Bosh to areas on the floor will Howard can come from the weakside. At the risk of spamming, this is how Howard gets his on defense. He's hitting the slashers from behind and from the side, where their shots are vulnerable and the Celtics can't touch him. Obviously LeBron, D-Wade and Bosh are more athletic than the Celtics, but the philosophy behind Orlando's defense is the same.
To be honest, I don't even think the Magic are the 4th best team, OKC has a pretty good squad and Kevin Durant has a good chance to show he is on par with Wade and Kobe this year.

I understand that you're excited for your team and all, but honestly, you sound like you're on some good stuff. The Magic have more size, better shooting, better halfcourt execution and better defense than the Thunder.
Remember when Kobe elbowed Jameer in the chin so hard Jameer was knocked down and sent skidding across the floor?

Are you suggesting I root for the Thunder? The Heat are the only pro basketball organization I will ever consider "my team." As valid the points are about why you think the Magic are the better team, the fact is the Thunder did something the Magic couldn't, took LA to 6 games in a playoff series and nearly won that 6th game too. Kevin Durant is a beast.

The only way this team can be stopped is if we have injuries or ego's clash which I do not see happening. Think about it, it can be argued that wade is the best player in the league when healthy. People around the league, heck even experts do not watch every game he plays in, its not possible. They see stats which does not tell the full story. We as fans have seen him play with talent (05 Shaq) and with bums and we know what he can do even when he has no talent and has to play with 2-3 people guarding him. Now add Lebron, Bosh and Miller......ohhhh man. I love football (fins, canes) but never in my entire 25 years of life have I been more excited for a season to start. We are fielding an ultimate team gents.....

I think Bosh is gonna have troubles in some games. Gasol/Bynum, KG/O'Neal(s) & Dwight (they'll prolly switch Ra20mil Lewis on whoever plays C for u, like the did against the raptors last year) .. You'll still have LeBron & Wade owning the wings but it could be a problem IMO

And I agree with you, Heat fans. LeBron & Wade will be near impossible to stop, the team that will defend them best are prolly LAL with Kobe & Artest, though I think they can still both score 20+ on them ..

I come in peace, no "I hate" or "f*ck Dwight" posts please ..

Magic will still be a challenge. They will be second in the east though, and we may not have to face them until the ECF (if they don't get knocked out on the way).

Edit: and they will have a better record than any Western Conference team NOT named the Lakers

but Miami didn't have any problem with Orlando.

We'll just do what we did, run at Howard, get him on the bench and then beat you anyway we want. :D

Kobe's knee was filled with fluid in the first four games. And the Magic played that Finals series with a subpar guard in Rafer instead of their second most important player in Jameer.

I didn't talk about the Team, I was only talkin bout Bosh individually, I know Miami did great against Orlando last year and they also will this year ..

Howard has gottan alot smarter on fouls, and no one will say he doesn't have an impact on the game when he's on the court, even LeBron & Wade have said in the last couple of seasons that Howard's a force inside, so don't say he's not .. When he's on the bench though, may God help Stan Van Gundy

This. If I remember correctly, Wade said he would prefer a guy like Howard to a guy like LeBron midseason (though that may have been a smokescreen to throw off the tamperers  )

Howard is elite even without the offensive game most people say he lacks. He will cause us some trouble unless we adjust accordingly. The adjustment, however, will be to draw him out by putting Bosh in at the C position. I remember Dwight being bewildered and shocked by Mark !@$%^ing Blount that one game in 09' when we put him in and he was sticking jumpers. No one in the league (short of maybe Bynum or a healthy Oden, or a determined Shaq) can push Dwight around on the inside, but if you expose his shortcomings and draw him out with a face up guy like Bosh, the paint becomes very exposed with shard at the 4.

Yeah, he was really great at staying out of foul trouble in the playoff series against the Bobcats

If Dwight can improve his free throw shooting and SVG doesn't use Vinsanity so much, then I'll worry about the Magic.

Q-Rich was a great pick-up for you guys, though. Underrated defender, even though he's no Matt Barnes, and he can light it up in a hurry. Also a good post-up player, he'll go to that aspect of his game more often than Lewis.

Dwight cannot guard CB. I mean, you've watched Raps/Magic games over the past few years right, and thus are aware of this? Also, him being pulled out of the paint means nobody to protect the rim. Also, on one end he is guarding CB, but on the other end being guarded by whoever is playing C for the Heat. That is a lot of energy expended on both ends of the floor.

Did you watch those games? Lotta cheap, mostly offensive fouls .. He did get SOME dumb fouls, I agree .. Orlando didn't really need him in that series. In the 2 series they did need him he stayed out of foul trouble and put up great numbers (yes I know Boston whooped our asses, I'm gonna enjoy you beating them) .. And well, I did say gotten smarter, I didn't say he can always stay outta trouble, he'll prolly always take some easy fouls, but not as many as the beginning of his career, thanks to Pat Ewing ..

He'll prolly never be a good FT-shooter, but I think he can still improve to 70% (which of course wouldn't be enough to stop fouling him ..)

And about Vince, Vince is prolly gone in February and Otis Smith's not gonna pay JJ Redick that much to keep the bench warm .. But we all know Stan so, he likes to not-use good players :D

Well, he didn't guard Bosh all the time, LewRich did some time on Bosh too .. I don't think Dwight did a bad job guarding him, Lewis on the other hand :-? .. But we'll see, even though you're prolly gonna beat us, I'm gonna enjoy those games :)
