Re: 10 best NBA players in order 2010-2011 season
Wow what a great thread. I love playing lets pretend! So since we are playing lets pretend, I’m going to pretend that everyone is going to stay healthy, even Greg Oden.
I know silly huh? But it’s my opinion, and I know I’m going to ruffle some feathers, because I actually have this silly notion that young guys get better and old guys eventually slip. So I really don’t want to hear your two cents about why Kevin Durant isn’t going to be #1 this coming season because you won’t change my mind.
Kind of like how I think the idea of the entire universe being created in 7 days is completely whacky but I know that I’m not going to change the opinion of those who do believe that it actually happened in 7 days. So hey, if you want to believe that man use to ride dinosaur’s cool, knock yourself out. But I believe Durant is going to be #1 this coming season. So come with me boys and girls and let play lets pretend!

#1 Durantula: the kid is only getting better. He’s going to win the MVP. He puts up 30pts a game effortlessly. Isn’t ball dominate. His “D” is only getting better (it’s not the 2008/09 season anymore people). Great rebounder, better passer than he gets credit for. I see 32pts, 8rebs, 3.5dimes, 1.5stls, 1.5 blocks all with crazy shooting percentages.
#2 LeBron James: I think if he was still in Cleveland he’d be #1 but he is going to a team where obviously other guys can carry the load. So he won’t be getting the individual accolades. I don’t think he is going to score anywhere near he has in the past, but I think his assists are going to go sky high. Like lead the league sky high with around 11 a game. I see LeBron flirting with the elusive triple double. I think 20pts, 9rebs and 11dimes a game.
#3 Chris Paul: He has something to prove this coming season after the last one was marred by injuries. I think he bounces back and once again makes David West look good. But mostly Chris Paul is going to look amazing 23pts, 5rebs, 10.5dimes and 3 thefts a game.
#4 Dwyane Wade: He has some new friends in town. I don’t think he is going to score quite as much but he is still going to get his. The dude still plays great D. Too bad he can’t shoot. 25pts, 5rebs, 5dimes and 3 TO’s.
#5 Dwight Howard: What can you say the dude is a beast inside protecting the paint. Once again will dominate defensively. 18pts, 13rebs, 3blks. FREAK!
#6 Kobe Bryant: Yep all the way down to six. Father time is tapping on his shoulder letting him know that even though he is amazing he is still mortal. I see the dude slip this season. Not falling off the plantet but just slipping a touch. 25pts 4.5rebs, 4.5dimes. Still awesome Laker Fan, just not tops in the league.
#7 Melo: He just doesn’t bring the “D” for me to put him higher than #7. His offense is amazing but his “D” lacks. 28.5pts, 7rebs, 3.5dimes.
#8 Deron Williams: He doesn’t really have a flaw in his game and he is durable. What’s not to love? 19pts, 4rebs, 10.5dimes, 1.5thefts.
#9 Pau Gasol: More of the same from Pau. Great hands, nice touch. Inside, outside, high BBIQ, he’s a stud. 18.5pts, 11rebs, 3.5dimes, 1.5blks.
#10 Bosh: Last year he was probably higher on this list, but with his new teammates his numbers will take a small hit at least PPG will. I still think he will get his boards. 22pts, 11rebs, 2.5dimes and 1blk.
That’s “MY LIST” deal with it!

In 2008 CP3 was robbed and 2009 DWade played out of his mind, one of the best seasons from a player in recent history. Yet if your not at the ship in the end it goes unnoticed.

Wow. People don't hate on Durant, they just aren't blinded by thinking basketball is entirely played on the offensive end. You are saying he is young, almost as if that means he deserves to be ranekd higher almost like a sympathy vote, gtfo. Also I didn't realise Durant could do everything. I didn't know he could play in the post, could pass, could defend and could block.

You're not going to have both Lebron and Wade in the Top 3. There's still just one ball used in an NBA game; one of them has got to sacrifice. And we all know it ain't gonna be Mr. 1 Hour Special.

Durant was actually a very good defender for his position last year. Arguably top 5 in the league.

Well maybe not EVERYTHING, but you should try actually watching him play a full game sometime, instead of just Sportscenter highlights.
