Can't Ed build better chem with the guys while facing more competitive opponents near their level instead? This ultimately leads to improvement in their game and if it shows on the court come Game 1, they wouldn't have to worry too much about their image. Hey, if Pops can capture the heart of the team with a couple dunks....

they have been in semi-pro runs all summer in LA. theyre in toronto hanging out, id rather them at a gym than at a club. and going out on a trip to a ssauaga gym to play abunch of toronto gym rats is a way better way to build chemistry in those guys than working with coaches, which theyre not allowed to do anyways, at the raptors facility. its an experience. what games are there with competitive opponents near their level that youre speaking about? the nba open run in the gym in etobicoke?

But seriously, hope he recovers quick. Btw, what does "tweak" mean exactly? Just a tight feeling in the knee?

For some reason tweak sounds worse to me than even a break. A break is an easy fix. 6 weeks sure, but you know how to fix it. A tweak. Does that ever really go away??

It goes away for sure. I've had all kinds of knee issues including dislocated kneecaps. The question is whether tweak is a euphemism for a specific problem, like a damaged tendon or ligament. If he has no structural damage, he'll likely be fine for training camp.

Man, that's what I've been trying to figure out. All I know is of the SL, Drew League and obviously INTL play. 1 of them obviously being ineligible to take part in. I guess a lot of fans put too much pressure on our players to work hard during the summer in order to get the most out of it in preparation for the season. Sometimes, the small things people do can have the most benefit.

Torn ACL, MCL, and PCL out for the season is my prediction.

No green font? I'd say if he was seriously injured, his knee would have swollen up like a pineapple overnight and then you wait for the swelling to go down before doing the MRI. If he wasn't on crutches this morning, he's not a candidate for a catastrophic injury. At worst, a strain or partial tear. More likely just twisted something and will be fine by next week.

I'm just making sure I can handle doomsday scenarios. That way when we find out he's only out 2-3 weeks I can breathe a huge sigh of relief.

Dagger shouldnt have started a new thread. The other one should have been re opened and this should have been a post.

Isnt that how it usually goes?

Dagger posted a tweet confirming it was true and if you read the other thread Donkeypunch says

"There are ramblings he hurt his knee, and was at .mount sinai today getting an mri. Can anyone confirm or deny?"

He wasnt throwing out rumours he was trying to find validity in a statement he heard.

Dagger just confirmed it and the other thread should continue.

Some of you mods lock threads like its a hobby and to be honest i agree with you guys 8/10 times but because Dagger told you guys to shut it down you did. Than the dude opens a new thread confirming what the last thread was asking.

Anyone but Dagger posted that **** it would have been merged. Stop blowin Dagger and treatin this board like North Korea.

Listen you little pisher, I asked the question to Koreen, I got the answer from Koreen which he tweeted also as an NP tweet, I asked for the thread to be reopened (by PM) but the mods weren't around. So I started a new thread. If you went to the same trouble to get verified info for this board maybe you'd have the same kind of respect. Or leeway.

I also can get the info because I've provided good head's up from the board to the media. It's a two-way street and people like me, and The Doctor and others, get our inquiries taken seriously, and for good reason.

For the record, that is almost an unheard of injury. The most common three-ligament injury of the knee is the "unhappy triad" of lateral meniscus, ACL, MCL. The most common ligament injury in basketball would be a player jumping up, landing funny, and tearing his ACL.

I have one question about this story - was Ed injured before the "Mississauga pickup game", or did he injury it while playing in Mississauga? From the previous thread (now defunct) it seems as though he didn't play at all - he was simply attending with the other guys and refrained from partaking due to the injury (that he previously sustained).

well, modding is a hobby of sorts, so you are right.

we respect Dagger because he thinks before he talks (97% of the time).

i am not sucking on Dagger's penis nor do i ever intend to have his unit in or near my mouth. so kindly stop offering on his behalf.

stop comparing this board to North Korea. i have better hair than their Dear Leader and i get more pussy. so shut it.

while you may think that Rhett is the man and Supersub was one of the best, your complaints about other mods will not get you banned. you simply make yourself come across as an idiot who is whining about an internet messaging board. this is why i am kindly asking you to not embarrass yourself any further, to take a deep breath and let us continue to moderate this board without catering to your wishes. if you continue to backseat mod or whine, you will inevitably earn yourself a vacation - not because we have small man syndrome, but because your act will wear thin and you'll be disrupting and derailing threads.

thank you and have a good Yom Kippur.

I'm sure this injury will keep him out this season. Just another domino in tank nation 2010.

With rants like that, Yogi, you're as bad as he is...

I keep refreshing to see if there are anymore updates on Ed "Don't call me Antonio" Davis.
I love that we get such breaking news here.

Well, we've got every bar, mall and emergency room in the city staked out. Guy can't have a drink at 2 a.m. without someone taking his picture and posting it here. Remember our board motto - "Pics or it didn't happen".
